PRL Motorsports Intercooler Charge Pipe Kit (HC11-CP) - 2022+ Civic & 2023+ Integra 1.5T

The factory cold side charge pipe on these cars is 1.25 inches. This kit takes it to 2.5, which is double the diameter on the section carrying cooled air to your throttle body. Aluminum pipe with billet flanges, 4-ply silicone couplers, and a factory-size hot side to keep the turbo spooling the way it should.

Double The Cold Side

That's the headline number and it's worth sitting with for a moment.

Honda ran a 1.25" inner diameter on the cold side, which is genuinely small for a turbocharged engine. That's the section delivering cooled, dense air from the intercooler to the throttle body, and it's a restriction sitting right at the end of everything your intercooler just accomplished.

Going to 2.5" removes that bottleneck entirely. On a stock car you'll feel it as more consistent power delivery, and on a tuned car it stops being the thing limiting what the rest of your parts can do.

The hot side stays at factory diameter deliberately. That section runs from the turbo to the intercooler, and keeping it tighter maintains velocity, which helps spool. Oversizing everything sounds better and drives worse.

PRL Melted The Factory Hose

Their words, not ours, and it's the most useful thing on this page.

PRL has melted the factory rubber hose more than once on their own shop car during track use. That's not a manufacturing defect, it's rubber sitting next to a turbocharger doing what rubber does when it gets hot enough for long enough.

Short of that, the failure is gradual. Rubber expands under pressure, which costs you boost, and it expands more as it weakens with heat cycling. Eventually you get a leak that's intermittent before it's permanent, and those are miserable to diagnose.

4-ply silicone handles the temperature considerably better, and aluminum doesn't expand at all.

Silicone Rather Than All Metal

PRL uses silicone couplers rather than running metal end to end, and there are four reasons.

Heat transfer. Silicone conducts heat far less readily than aluminum or steel. Metal couplers in a hot engine bay pull heat into the charge air you just cooled.

Flow through bends. Custom molded silicone allows tighter, smoother radius bends than metal can achieve in the same space.

Movement tolerance. The engine moves, the chassis doesn't. Silicone absorbs that where rigid metal cracks or transmits stress into its mounts.

Better fitment than factory. PRL found the factory rubber hoses don't fit particularly well, especially alongside an aftermarket radiator. Theirs fit better than the originals, which is an unusual thing for an aftermarket part to claim and a useful one if your build has moved past stock cooling.

It Keeps Your Vacuum Connections

Detail that saves a headache.

The cold side pipe comes with a -4AN O-ring to 1/4" hose barb already installed, which retains the factory vacuum connections. That means your existing lines plug in where they're supposed to rather than needing adapters or improvised fittings.

A mounting bracket for the cold side is included too, so the pipe is supported properly rather than hanging on its couplers.

No Tune Required

Charge piping changes how air reaches the engine, not how it's measured or metered. The factory calibration remains correct, so this is a genuine bolt-on.

Works With Either Intercooler

Compatible with all factory intercoolers and with the PRL intercooler upgrade.

Fit this now on a stock intercooler and upgrade the cooler later without replacing the piping. Sensible if you're building in stages.

Driving A 10th Gen?

Check your year before ordering. This kit is for the 11th gen, meaning 2022 and newer Civic and 2023 and newer Integra.

If you're in a 2016-2021 Civic, the 10th gen charge pipe kit (HC10-CP) is your part. Same idea, different chassis, and they aren't interchangeable.
