Payment & Pricing

What payment options does Hybrid Racing accept?

Credit Cards

We take MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and American Express, plus debit cards carrying a Visa or MasterCard logo. Every card order goes through a security check, so you'll need the card's full billing address and the security code on the back. Card companies sometimes require us to ship to the billing address on the card. It's their rule, not ours, but when they impose it we have to follow it, so plan for that if you were going to ship parts to work or your buddy's shop.

PayPal

PayPal works as long as the address on your account is a confirmed address. That's PayPal's rule, not ours, and it means we can only ship to confirmed addresses.

Wire Transfers

Ordering internationally? We take wire transfers, and the easiest way to get started is to schedule a consultation. We'll walk you through the whole wire process, get you our banking details, and make sure your order is set up right. One thing to know going in: wire orders stay open for 14 days, so your payment needs to reach us within that window or the order cancels.

Affirm

Want to spread the build cost out? We've partnered with Affirm so you can buy now and pay over time. Select Affirm at checkout, enter a few pieces of basic info, and get a real-time decision. Rates from 0–36% APR. Payment options through Affirm are subject to an eligibility check and may not be available in all states. Terms shown at checkout are based on your purchase amount and eligibility.

My order was declined, but I see a charge on my account

That charge isn't real, and here's why it shows up. When you pay by card, your bank reserves the funds first, then we verify the billing address, card code, and other details. If verification fails, the bank declines the transaction, but the money it already set aside can take 3–5 days to release (some banks drag it out as long as 30). We never receive a dime from a declined order. Check your account again in a few days and you'll see the funds were never actually withdrawn. If it's still showing after that, or you just want a second set of eyes on it, email support@hybrid-racing.com and we'll help you sort it out.

Is my order secure?

Yes. Our store runs on Shopify, the world's largest ecommerce platform, powering millions of stores worldwide. Every transaction is encrypted and processed on Shopify's Level 1 PCI DSS compliant infrastructure. What does that mean? We're not entirely sure either, but our IT guy says it's the highest security certification in the payment industry, and he seems pretty excited about it. We know engines, he knows security. We never see or store your full card number. Buying from us online is safer than handing your card across a parts counter or reading the number over the phone.

Does Hybrid Racing price match?

Yes, we price match. Email sales@hybrid-racing.com with a direct link to the product and we'll verify it and get back to you. If the price checks out, we'll often just lower our price outright so every customer gets the better deal, not just the one who asked. There are a couple of situations where we can't always match. The first is marketplace listings: eBay, Amazon, and similar sites where we can't verify the seller or confirm the part is genuine. We won't match a price on a knockoff. The second is shipping and handling. We match the advertised product price, but we can't always match another retailer's shipping rates.

The price dropped after I ordered. What gives?

We're constantly leaning on manufacturers for better pricing so we can pass it on. That means prices move. When you see one drop, it's almost always because our cost dropped. Annoying timing, we get it, but the alternative is padding prices so they never change, and nobody wins that way.

Orders & Shipping

What is the status of my order?

We keep you posted by email and through your online order status. Within 48 hours of ordering (late-Friday orders push to Monday), you'll get a tracking number or an expected ship timeframe. If something's backordered, we'll keep feeding you the most current info we have. You can also email support@hybrid-racing.com any time. Just make sure to include your order number so we can pull up your order right away instead of playing email tag.

What does it mean when a product is backordered?

It depends on whose name is on the part. For Hybrid Racing parts we manufacture ourselves, a backorder means the next production run is likely already in motion, and we'll ship the moment parts get assembled. For third-party brands we carry, it means demand outran what that manufacturer could supply, so we're waiting on them just like you are. Either way, we'll first try to cross-reference a comparable part so you're not stuck waiting. If there's no good substitute, we'll ship the moment the part lands.

How do I cancel an order that hasn't shipped?

Email support@hybrid-racing.com with your full name, order number, the part(s) you want to cancel, and the reason (it helps us do better next time). Don't call. We only take cancellations by email so there's a paper trail and we can confirm the right person is canceling the right order. Keep in mind a product counts as purchased once we've received payment.

I was charged for my complete order but didn't receive everything

We stock a lot of product, but some items ship straight from the manufacturer, so your order can (and probably will) arrive in separate packages on separate days. Check the tracking number for each package before reaching out. If a package genuinely goes missing, let us know and we'll chase the carrier down and get you answers.

Returns & Problems

How do I return or exchange a product?

First step, before anything goes in a box: email support@hybrid-racing.com and request an RMA. Returns that show up without an RMA number on the box get refused, no exceptions. All the rules on time limits, restocking fees, condition requirements, and how refunds get issued live in our Return & Refund Policy.

My product arrived damaged. What do I do?

It's rare, but it happens. Inspect every shipment when it lands and report damage immediately to the carrier that delivered it. We'll help however we can, but in most cases the claim has to go through the carrier. The good news: we insure all shipments, so you'll get a replacement as soon as the carrier approves the claim. On some international orders we can't provide full insurance and you may eat the full loss of the package, so if you're ordering internationally and not sure whether that applies to you, email us before you order.

You sent me the wrong part

No matter how careful we are, mistakes happen. Email support@hybrid-racing.com and we'll get the exchange moving as fast as possible. We know you've probably got a car on jack stands waiting on it.

About Hybrid Racing

Do you have a print catalog?

Not for products. We add parts to the site constantly, and a printed catalog would be out of date before it left the printer, so the online catalog is where everything lives. That said, we love print. There's something in the works that isn't a catalog. Stay tuned.
