PRODUCT DETAILS

PRL Motorsports Intercooler Charge Pipe Kit (HC10-CP) - 2016-2021 Honda Civic 1.5T

Honda ran 1.5" piping on both the hot and cold sides of the 10th gen. This kit takes the hot side to 2.0" and the cold side to 2.5", removing a restriction that sits on both ends of your intercooler. Aluminum pipes, 4-ply silicone couplers, and a factory-diameter hot side outlet so the turbo still spools the way it should.

Read This First: Requires The PRL Intercooler

The most important thing on this page, and it's a hard requirement rather than a recommendation.

This kit only fits the PRL Motorsports intercooler upgrade. It will not fit the factory intercooler and it won't fit other brands.

So if you're running a stock intercooler, this isn't a part you can use yet. Sort the intercooler first, then the piping, or buy both together and do it as one job.

That's different from PRL's 11th gen kit, which works with either. Worth knowing if you've read about that one and assumed this works the same way.

Both Sides Get Bigger

Unusual for a charge pipe kit, and it tells you how restrictive the factory setup was.

Honda used 1.5" on both the hot and cold sides, which is tight for a turbocharged engine on either end.

The hot side goes to 2.0", carrying compressed air from the turbo to the intercooler. The cold side goes to 2.5", carrying cooled air from the intercooler to the throttle body.

The hot side outlet stays at factory diameter, which is deliberate. Keeping that section tighter maintains velocity where the turbo needs it, so you get the flow gains without giving up spool.

Why Factory Piping Costs You

Two separate problems with the stock arrangement.

Diameter. A 1.5" path restricts flow, and that restriction becomes the limiting factor once you've added an intercooler with real capacity. Upgrading the cooler while leaving 1.5" pipes on both ends is fixing half the problem.

Expansion. Factory rubber sections expand under boost, which means pressure going into stretching a hose rather than reaching your engine. That gets worse as boost increases and worse again as the rubber ages and weakens, eventually becoming a leak.

Aluminum doesn't expand and 4-ply silicone handles heat and pressure considerably better than the rubber it replaces.

Silicone Where It Matters

Custom molded 4-ply silicone couplers throughout, for three reasons.

Heat transfer. Silicone conducts heat far less readily than metal, so it doesn't pull engine bay heat into charge air you just cooled.

Flow through bends. Molded silicone allows smoother, tighter radius bends than metal tubing can achieve in the same space.

Movement. The engine moves and the chassis doesn't. Silicone absorbs that where rigid metal would crack or load its mounting points.

Keeps Your Vacuum Connections

The kit includes a -4AN O-ring to 1/4" hose barb and a 1/8" NPT pipe plug, which means your factory vacuum connections carry over rather than needing improvised fittings.

There's also a mounting bracket for the cold side, so the pipe is supported properly rather than hanging on its couplers.

What's In The Kit

  • (1) Hot side charge pipe
  • (1) Cold side charge pipe
  • (1) -4AN O-ring to 1/4" hose barb
  • (1) 1/8" NPT pipe plug
  • (1) Mounting bracket for cold side
  • (4) 4-ply silicone couplers
  • (8) 304 stainless steel worm clamps
  • (2) Charge pipe adapters

Driving An 11th Gen?

Check your year. This kit is for the 2016-2021 Civic.

If you're in a 2022 or newer Civic, or a 2023 or newer Integra, the 11th gen charge pipe kit (HC11-CP) is your part. Different chassis, not interchangeable, and that one works with factory intercoolers as well.

Fitment

2016-2021 Honda Civic 1.5T

Part number HC10-CP. Requires the PRL Motorsports intercooler upgrade. Will not fit the factory intercooler or other brands.

Who Should Grab This

This is for the 10th gen owner already running the PRL intercooler who wants the piping to match what the cooler can do. Bigger on both sides, silicone that survives the heat, and a hot side outlet sized to protect spool. Confirm your intercooler first, then finish the charge path properly.

Fits: 2016-2021 Honda Civic 1.5T with the PRL Motorsports intercooler upgrade. Part number: HC10-CP. Hot side: 2.0" ID, up from 1.5". Cold side: 2.5" ID, up from 1.5". Hot side outlet: factory diameter to preserve spool. Construction: aluminum pipes with 4-ply silicone couplers and stainless clamps. Includes: vacuum fittings, mounting bracket, adapters, and all hardware. Does not fit: factory intercooler or other brands.
