Mishimoto Intercooler Piping Kit - 2016-2021 Honda Civic 1.5T & Si

This is the upgraded charge piping for the turbo Civic, bigger diameter, smoother bends, and aluminum-and-silicone construction in place of the restrictive factory plastic and rubber. It's the piping half of Mishimoto's intercooler system, sold on its own for anyone who already has the Mishimoto intercooler and wants to complete the charge path. One thing to know up front: this piping only mounts to the Mishimoto intercooler. It will not fit the stock intercooler. Available in wrinkle black or Rallye Red.

The most important thing on this page, because this won't work on a stock setup.

This piping kit is designed to connect to the Mishimoto Performance Intercooler for these cars. It will not mount to the factory intercooler, the connections are sized and positioned for the Mishimoto core, not the stock one.

So if you're still running your factory intercooler, you need the Mishimoto intercooler first, this is the piping that pairs with it, not a standalone upgrade. If you already have the Mishimoto intercooler (or bought it without the piping), this is the kit that completes the charge path. If you're starting from stock, the complete intercooler-plus-piping kit is the simpler buy.

Bigger, Smoother Than Stock

The factory piping holds the turbo Civic back in a few ways, and this addresses all of them.

The stock piping is a restrictive diameter, full of sharp bends, and built from plastic and rubber that degrade over time. Mishimoto's steps the diameter up from 42mm to 55mm on both sides, a 30% increase, and opens up the bend angles so the charge air flows more directly through the system. Bigger and straighter means more flow, which is exactly what a tuned L15B7 wants.

The cold-side plastic is replaced with mandrel-bent aluminum, and the factory rubber couplers with 5-layer silicone embedded with heat-resistant fibers. The aluminum and silicone won't deteriorate or blow off the way the factory rubber can under boost, and the silicone keeps engine heat out of the charge air better than the stock materials. It's more durable, flows better, and looks sharper in the bay.

Real On A Tuned Car

Straight on what it does.

Paired with the Mishimoto intercooler, the piping is worth up to 4 whp and 8 wtq, and it unlocks more with a tune, since the bigger, freer-flowing piping supports the extra boost a tune runs. On a stock tune the gain is modest; the real value is removing a flow restriction so the system can support more as you build the car. If you're tuning the 1.5T or Si, the piping is part of giving the engine the airflow headroom to make the power.

Black Or Red

The piping comes in wrinkle black (subtle) or Rallye Red (a pop of color behind the bumper). Both are identical in performance, so pick the finish that matches your build and your intercooler.

CARB-Legal, Clean Install

CARB compliant (EO# D-759-12), so it's 50-state legal and passes a visual emissions inspection. It's a direct bolt-on to the Mishimoto intercooler, no cutting. One install note: torque the T-bolt clamps to spec (27 in-lbs recommended, 35 in-lbs max), don't over-tighten them.
