Honda OEM Timing Belt Covers Kit - D16Y7/D16Y8 Engines
Doing a timing belt job on your D16Y Civic or Del Sol? This complete Honda OEM timing belt cover kit gives you everything you need to button up your engine bay properly. It fits the D16Y7 and D16Y8 engines in your 1996-2000 Civic and 1996-1997 Del Sol S/Si. You get all three timing covers, both engine bracket gaskets, the lower plug, and all the seals you need for a clean install. The covers are factory Honda gray, the same color that came on your D series from the factory. Grab the full kit if you're doing a complete timing belt overhaul, or order individual pieces if you only need to replace a cracked cover or missing seal.
Complete Kit Includes Everything
This kit has all the timing belt covers and seals you need for your D16Y7 or D16Y8. Here's what comes in the box:
Upper Timing Cover
The upper cover protects the top section of your timing belt and cam gears. This is the piece that sits right behind your valve cover.
Lower Timing Cover
The lower cover shields the bottom section of your timing belt and crank pulley area. This piece takes the most abuse from road debris and usually cracks first.
Back Timing Cover
The back cover sits behind your timing belt and seals against the block. It keeps oil from leaking out of the front of your engine.
Upper Engine Bracket Gasket
Seals the upper engine mount bracket area where it meets your timing covers.
Lower Engine Bracket Gasket
Seals the lower engine mount bracket area where it meets your timing covers.
Lower Timing Cover Plug
Small plug that seals an opening in your lower timing cover. Easy to lose during disassembly, so this kit includes a new one.
Lower Timing Cover Seal
Rubber seal that goes between your lower timing cover and the block.
Upper Timing Cover Seal - Front Engine
Front seal for your upper timing cover. Keeps oil from seeping out between the cover and block.
Upper Timing Cover Seal - Rear Engine
Rear seal for your upper timing cover. Works with the front seal to keep everything tight.

You can grab the complete kit to get everything at once, or order just the pieces you need if you're only replacing a few parts. If you're doing a full timing belt service or restoring your EK Civic or Del Sol, the complete kit is the way to go.
Don't Forget the Bolts
The timing belt cover bolts aren't included in this kit, but you can order them separately. You'll need 9 bolts for your D series engine. The Honda part number is 90007-679-000. If your old bolts are stripped or rusty, grab a fresh set while you're at it.
Factory OEM Gray Finish
These covers are genuine Honda parts with the same gray finish that came on your D16Y7 or D16Y8 from the factory. They match the OEM look perfectly, which is what you want if you're restoring your Civic or Del Sol to stock condition.
