Eibach Anti-Roll-Kit Front & Rear Sway Bars - 2016-2021 Honda Civic (E40-40-036-01-11)

This is the complete set: a 29mm tubular front bar and a 22mm solid rear bar with two-way adjustment, sold together as Eibach's Anti-Roll-Kit. Buying both is how you get control over the whole car rather than just one end of it. The front flattens the chassis and keeps the front tires working, the rear kills the factory understeer and gets the car rotating, and the adjustable rear means you decide where the balance lands.

Why Both Bars Beats One

A single bar changes your balance. Two bars change your balance and how much the car rolls overall, which is a different and better outcome.

Run only a rear bar and you'll fix the understeer, but the car still rolls as much as it did before. Run only a front bar and you'll flatten the car while pushing it further toward understeer. Neither is wrong, and plenty of people are happy stopping at one.

Run both and you reduce total body roll significantly while holding the balance exactly where you want it. Your tires stay flatter through a corner, more contact patch does work, and the car responds the same way in both directions. That's what the full kit buys you.

The Rear Bar Is Where You Tune

Worth understanding the split, because the two bars aren't built the same way and that's deliberate.

The 29mm front bar is tubular and non-adjustable. One rate, tuned by Eibach for this chassis. Tubular keeps weight down without giving up stiffness, since most of a bar's resistance to twist comes from its outer material.

The 22mm rear bar is solid and two-way adjustable. That's your tuning knob. Softer hole for a mild lift in rotation that suits daily driving, firmer hole when you want the car to genuinely rotate on turn-in for a back road or an autocross course.

So the front sets the baseline and the rear is where you dial in the car's personality. That's the sensible way to build a kit like this, and it means you can change how the car behaves without buying anything else.

Start Soft, Then Firm It Up

Practical advice for install day. Set the rear bar on the softer hole first, particularly if this is your first adjustable bar.

A stiffer rear changes how the car behaves at the limit, and on a cold or damp road that arrives sooner than you'd expect. Drive it on the soft setting for a while, learn what the extra rotation feels like, then move to the firm hole once you know how the car responds. Going straight to the stiffest setting and finding out on an off-ramp is a bad way to learn.

Works With Any Suspension Setup

Eibach engineered and tested this kit for these cars specifically, and it works whether your Civic is stock or already lowered on springs or coilovers. It's a natural pairing with Pro-Kit or Sportline springs, but it doesn't require them.

Both bars are cold-formed from steel alloy and finished in Eibach's red powder coat, which holds up underneath a car dealing with road spray and salt. All mounting hardware is included, so there's nothing else to source.

Fitment

2016-2021 Honda Civic coupe, sedan, and hatchback
2017-2021 Honda Civic Si coupe and sedan
2017-2021 Honda Civic Sport hatchback

Does not fit the Civic Type R, which uses a larger 32mm front and 25mm rear kit.

Who Should Run This Kit

This is for the 10th gen owner who wants the car properly sorted rather than partially improved, and who'd rather buy both bars at once than do the job twice. You get less body roll everywhere, an adjustable rear so you control the balance, and hardware from a company that engineered it for this specific car. Fit them both, start on the soft setting, and go find out what your Civic can actually do.
