Wunderladen Racing Brake Caliper Bushings - 2016-2026 Honda Civic / 2023-2026 Acura Integra
Your Honda Civic or Acura Integra's got soft rubber slide pin bushings in the brake calipers from the factory and they're hurting how your brakes feel and wear. When you hit the brake pedal those soft rubber bushings let the caliper deflect and flex instead of clamping straight and true. That flex is why your pedal feels a little vague. It's why your pads and rotors wear unevenly. It's why the brakes don't release as clean as they should. Wunderladen Racing makes brass alloy caliper bushings that replace those soft factory rubber ones. The brass keeps the slide pins centered and the caliper true to the rotor. Less flex. Firmer pedal. More even wear. Longer life out of your pads and rotors. Whether you're tracking the car or just daily driving it these bushings make a noticeable difference. They come in two fitments, front or rear, so check which one fits your specific car before you order.
Here's What The Soft Factory Rubber Bushings Are Doing
The factory caliper slide pin bushings are made of soft rubber. When you press the brake pedal the caliper needs to squeeze the pads against the rotor evenly. But those rubber bushings let the caliper shift and deflect under pressure. The caliper's not staying true to the rotor. That deflection translates into a brake pedal that feels softer and less consistent than it should. It also means your pads aren't hitting the rotor evenly, so you get uneven pad and rotor wear. And when you let off the brake the caliper doesn't release as cleanly because the rubber's still flexing. Small thing, but you feel it every time you drive.
Brass Alloy Bushings - Less Flex, Better Brakes
Wunderladen Racing's bushings are machined from a brass alloy to tight tolerances. The brass keeps the slide pins centered so the caliper stays true to the rotor. The caliper flexes way less when you brake. That single change gives you a stack of improvements. The brake pedal feels firmer and more consistent. The pads and rotors wear more evenly. The brakes release better because there's less deflection holding them on. And here's a detail a lot of people miss. The factory rubber bushing's only sealed on the back. Wunderladen's brass bushings are sealed on both sides. That keeps the pin grease in and contamination out, so the caliper wears less over its life and you go way longer between re-greasing the pins. Your pads, rotors, and calipers all last longer.
Front Caliper Bushings - Check Your Fitment
The front caliper bushings have a specific fitment. They ONLY fit the 2022-2026 Honda Civic Si (11th gen) and the 2023-2026 Acura Integra Base and A-Spec (5th gen). They do NOT fit the 10th gen Civic Sport, Si, or Type R. So if you're running an 11th gen Si or a 5th gen Integra Base or A-Spec, the front bushings work for you. If you've got a 10th gen Civic or a Type R, the front set isn't going to fit, so look at the rear bushings instead. Make sure you match your exact car before ordering the fronts.
Rear Caliper Bushings - Fits Way More Cars
The rear caliper bushings have a much wider fitment. They fit all 2016-2026 Honda Civics across the board. LX, EX, Sport, Si, and Type R. They also fit the 2023-2026 Acura Integra Base, A-Spec, and Type S. So whether you're running a 10th gen or 11th gen Civic or any Integra trim the rear bushings work. If you want the brake improvement and you're not sure the fronts fit your car, the rears almost certainly do.
Track Or Street - Every Civic Benefits
You don't have to be tracking the car to feel this. On track the firmer pedal and reduced flex give you more consistent braking lap after lap, which matters when you're braking hard into corners. But even daily driving you'll notice the firmer pedal and you'll get longer life out of your brake components. Every 10th and 11th gen Civic and every Integra can benefit from these. It's one of those upgrades that improves how the car feels and saves you money on brake wear at the same time.
