Description
Whiteline Transmission Shifter Stabiliser Bushing for 88-95 Honda Civic/CRX
The Whiteline Transmission Shifter Stabiliser Bushing Kit replaces the worn elastomer bushings at the transmission and shifter side on Honda D-Series applications. This is the bit that supports the stabiliser bracket and sleeves that keep your shift linkage located relative to the transmission case. When the factory rubber gets old and soft, or it starts cracking, the stabiliser can walk around when you load the drivetrain. You feel that as a vague, inconsistent gate, like the shifter has a little argument with you before it goes into gear.
Whiteline uses a black synthetic elastomer here, and they include the bushings plus assembly lube. The material spec calls out resistance to oil, grease, ozone, and weathering, which matters because this area lives under the car and sees leaks, heat cycles, and road grime. You also get an extreme pressure grease described as molybdenum disulphide based, and the bushings have internal grease reservoirs to keep things from going dry over time. This is a Civic stabilizer bushing replacement at the stabiliser point, it won’t change your throw length, it just tightens up the support so the linkage stays where it’s supposed to.
