The Whiteline Radius Rod Bushing Kit replaces the front radius rod or strut rod chassis mount bushings used to locate the front lower control arm fore and aft. This joint is a primary load path under braking and initial turn in, since the strut rod controls caster change and longitudinal compliance as the tire contact patch loads and unloads.

In factory form, the chassis end of the strut rod typically uses a rubber bushing stack that softens with age, heat, and contamination. As the rubber relaxes, fore and aft movement at the chassis mount can increase, which changes how consistently the control arm holds position under braking and over impacts. This kit is intended as a direct service replacement for worn bushings where the installer wants a more controlled bushing material than aging rubber, without converting the mount to a spherical bearing or other solid joint.

W82151 uses Whiteline synthetic elastomer bushings with new crush tubes and includes supplied grease as part of the kit. The bushing and crush tube construction retains a compliant interface while controlling movement through the elastomer and the sleeve stack, rather than relying on degraded rubber to locate the strut rod.
