Description
Whiteline Front Lower Control Arm Bushing for Civic/CRX
The Whiteline Control Arm Lower Bushing Kit replaces the front lower control arm bushings on applicable Honda Civic and Honda CRX chassis. These bushings locate the lower control arm at the subframe and are responsible for controlling arm movement under braking, cornering, and acceleration loads while still allowing the arm to articulate through suspension travel.
In factory form, the original rubber control arm bushings can deteriorate with age and heat cycling, which increases compliance at the control arm pivots. When the rubber softens, cracks, or separates from its sleeve, the arm can shift under load and alter effective toe and caster during transient maneuvers. This kit is intended as a service replacement for worn control arm bushings while changing the bushing material to Whiteline synthetic elastomer.
W52006 uses a synthetic elastomer bushing design supplied as multiple bushing halves with matching inner tubes. Compared to a one piece bonded rubber bushing, this style relies on the bushing rotating on its internal tube and requires correct bushing lubrication during assembly to reduce the chance of noise.
