Supertech Piston Ring Set - 86mm to 88mm (Honda K-Series)
Building or refreshing a K-series and need rings? These Supertech piston ring sets are the smart way to buy them, because Supertech sells them individually, one set per piston. So instead of being forced to buy a full four-cylinder ring kit when you only need one, you grab exactly what your build calls for. They come in bore sizes from 86mm to 88mm in tidy 0.5mm increments, so there's a size to match your pistons whether you're running a stock bore or a fresh overbore.
Why Buying Them One At A Time Is Actually Great
Here's why this matters more than it sounds. Anybody who's assembled an engine knows piston rings are delicate, it's genuinely easy to nick, twist, or snap one while you're spreading it over the piston and working it into the groove. On a normal ring kit, break one and you're stuck buying a whole new set of four just to replace the single ring you ruined. Supertech selling these individually kills that headache. Wreck one during assembly? Order one replacement, not a full kit. Only redoing one cylinder? Buy for that one cylinder. It saves you real money and keeps your build moving instead of waiting on parts you didn't need. Order one set per piston you're ringing.
Pick The Right Bore Size
This is the part you've got to get right: your ring size has to match your actual bore, which is the same as your piston size. Order for the bore your block actually has, not the engine it started as, because if it's been machined, that number changed. Here's the quick guide across the 86mm to 88mm range:
- 86mm: stock K20 bore (K20A, K20Z, and the turbo K20C), so RSX, Civic Si, and Civic Type R blocks that haven't been bored.
- 86.5mm: a K20 bored 0.5mm over.
- 87mm: stock K24 bore (TSX, Accord 2.4, CR-V, Element), and also where a K20 lands if it's bored 1mm over.
- 87.5mm: a K24 bored 0.5mm over (or a K20 taken out 1.5mm).
- 88mm: a K24 bored 1mm over, big-bore K-series territory.
Bottom line: if your block's stock, a K20 takes 86mm and a K24 takes 87mm. If it's been bored, match the ring set to the finished bore size, which should be exactly what your pistons are spec'd at. When in doubt, measure your bore or check with your machinist before you order.
Made To Pair With Supertech Pistons
These are Supertech's own rings, so they're the natural match for a set of Supertech pistons, same brand, sized to work together. Supertech pistons don't come with rings in the box, so this is the set that completes that combo. Get your ring size to match your piston bore and you've got everything you need on the bench when it's time to assemble.

- Sized to match Supertech pistons and your finished bore
Choosing Your Size
- Stock K20 (RSX, Civic Si, Civic Type R): 86mm
- Stock K24 (TSX, Accord 2.4, CR-V, Element): 87mm
- Overbored blocks: match the finished bore (86.5, 87.5, or 88mm) to your pistons
Note: Supertech piston ring set for the Honda K-series, sold individually (one set per piston) so you can buy for a single cylinder or replace one ring set without purchasing a full kit. Available in bore sizes from 86mm to 88mm in 0.5mm increments (86, 86.5, 87, 87.5, and 88mm). The ring size must match your finished bore, which is the same as your piston size: a stock K20 is 86mm and a stock K24 is 87mm, while 86.5, 87.5, and 88mm cover overbored blocks. If your block has been machined, order for the finished bore, not the original engine, and measure or confirm with your machinist if you're unsure. These pair with Supertech pistons, which do not include rings. Order one set per piston. One ring set per order.
