PRODUCT DETAILS

Spoon Sports 340mm Leather Steering Wheel (ALL-78500-000)

Your factory Honda wheel is thick, full of buttons, and completely numb. That's what an airbag and a decade of switchgear does to steering feel. This Spoon Sports wheel is the fix: 340mm, leather with red stitching, and built by MOMO Italy rather than restyled from something Honda already made. The diameter stays close to stock on purpose, so your steering inputs feel familiar instead of twitchy, and the thicker grip is where you notice the difference. It's a wheel you feel the road through.

Read This First: What You Still Need To Buy

Being straight with you before you order, because this wheel on its own won't get your car on the road.

You need a hub. This is a MOMO-pattern wheel and it does not bolt to a Honda clockspring. You'll need a MOMO-compatible boss for your specific chassis, sold separately. The wheel is universal, the hub is what makes it fit your car.

You need an SRS plan. Removing your airbag wheel takes the SRS system out of the equation. There's no bypass, resistor pack, or clockspring adapter included here. Without one, you'll have a dash light and a disabled airbag circuit, and that's yours to handle.

Horn wiring is on you. The Spoon horn button is in the box, which is nice, but connecting it is installer work.

None of this is unusual for a race wheel. It's just worth knowing before the box shows up rather than after.

Think Of This As A Race Or Show Install

Worth saying plainly. Once the airbag wheel comes off, your SRS system, your steering wheel buttons, and your paddle controls are gone unless you add a canceller and a boss switch kit separately.

Street legality for an aftermarket wheel without SRS varies and Spoon doesn't publish guidance on it. Our honest advice is to treat this as a track, race, or show install unless a qualified shop confirms a legal path for your specific car and where you drive it. If your Honda is a dedicated build, none of this is a problem. If it's your daily and your only car, think it through first.

340mm Is The Right Size For A Honda

This isn't a tiny deep-dish drift wheel, and that's deliberate. Spoon sized it at 340mm so your steering ratio still feels natural. Go much smaller and the car gets nervous, steering effort climbs, and parking becomes a workout. Staying near stock diameter means you get the connected feel of a race wheel without changing how the car behaves at speed.

The real change is the grip. It's noticeably thicker than the factory wheel, which fills your hands better and gives you more to hold onto when you're actually driving. Combined with losing the airbag mass, the whole thing feels more direct and more communicative.

Built By MOMO For Spoon

Worth knowing who actually made it. This is manufactured by MOMO Italy for Spoon Sports, which means the construction quality is what you'd expect from one of the oldest names in steering wheels, wearing Spoon's badge and finished to their spec. The leather and red stitching are the Spoon signature, and they look right in a Honda interior in a way generic wheels don't.

What's In The Box

  • Spoon Sports 340mm leather steering wheel
  • Spoon horn button

No hub, no SRS canceller. Both are sold separately.

Fitment

The wheel itself is universal to MOMO-pattern hubs, so it isn't chassis-specific. Your hub is the part that determines what it fits, and that's chosen for your particular car.

Spoon makes their own 78520 series bosses, or any MOMO-compatible boss will work. Sort that out alongside the wheel so you're not sitting on a wheel you can't mount.

Who Should Run This Wheel

This is for the Honda owner building a car where feel matters more than convenience. Track car, dedicated build, or a project where the airbag was already coming out. You're trading buttons and safety systems for a direct connection to the front end, and if that's the trade you want to make, this is one of the better wheels to make it with. Get your boss sorted, plan your SRS solution, and enjoy actually feeling the car.
