Spoon Sports Carbon Racing Mirror - 92-95 Civic, 96-00 Civic & 02-06 RSX

Spoon originally built these in the 90s for their race cars, and in 2025 they brought them back. The Timeless revival uses all-new tooling, a dry carbon housing under clear coat, and 1200R blue optical glass. If you know the shape, you know exactly what it is from across a paddock. If you don't, it's the mirror that turns a clean Honda into something that looks like it came out of a race program, because that's literally where the design came from.

Two things to understand before you fall in love with them.

They don't fold. The housing is fixed, with no retract function. That's how race mirrors are built and it's part of why they look the way they do, but it changes daily life. Tight garages, narrow parking, and automatic car washes all become something you think about.

Japan classifies them as not street legal under their safety rules, and US legality isn't published. Our honest advice is to treat these as a race or show part unless you've confirmed a legal path for your car and where you drive it. If your Honda is a track car, a show car, or a weekend build, that's exactly the context these were made for.

Neither of these is a knock on the product. They're the reality of running a genuine race mirror rather than a street aero mirror, and it's better to know now.

What The 2025 Revival Changed

These aren't old stock. Spoon cut new precision molds for the carbon case, so the housing is a fresh piece rather than a reissue from tired tooling. The skin is dry carbon with a clear coat, and the SPOONSPORTS mark is molded into the top of the housing rather than applied afterward.

The glass changed too. The 1200R blue optical lens is wider than the old race glass and the blue coating cuts night glare, which is the same optical thinking behind Spoon's interior mirrors. Lens angle is set by a small electric motor.

Worth knowing: this is the -020 revival. The older -000 versions are discontinued, so if you've seen these listed elsewhere with an older suffix, this is the current production part.

Not The Aero Mirror

Worth being clear, since Spoon makes both and they get confused. This is the 76210 Carbon Racing Mirror, the non-folding race housing for the classic chassis.

The 76100 Aero Mirror is a different product entirely, a folding street mirror for later cars like the FK8, S2000, NSX, Fit, and CR-Z. If that's what you're after, this isn't it, and vice versa.

Pick Your Chassis

All three are the same -020 revival. The difference is the base plate, which is specific to each car's door mounting.

These aren't interchangeable. An EK mirror won't mount to an EG and vice versa, so match your chassis carefully. Each kit ships as a pair with the base plate already assembled into the housing.

Expect A Wait

Being upfront about it. These are made in limited production runs and lead times on the revival have been long, with pre-orders commonly running eight months or more depending on chassis and availability.

That's the nature of a small-batch revival part from a company that isn't mass-producing them. If you want them, get in the queue. If you need mirrors next month, this isn't the right product.

Look After The Carbon

Clear coat helps, but carbon still lives outside in the sun, and door mirrors take direct UV all day. Treat them like paint, keep them clean, and give them wax or a ceramic spray a few times a year. That's what keeps the weave sharp instead of clouding and yellowing over time.
