You bolt Strange Engineering double adjustable rear shocks into your AWD EG or DC2, go to turn the compression knob, and it's sitting on the axle. They rotate the shock 90 degrees at the lower mount so both adjuster knobs swing clear of the rear axles, and they cut the weight of the factory steel brackets in half while they're at it.

What It Is and Why It Works

Strange's Honda rear coilover puts its compression and rebound knobs on the lower body, which is fine on a front wheel drive car with nothing behind the trailing arm. Add rear axles for an AWD conversion and the knobs land right on them. SpeedFactory's answer is a billet lower bracket clocked 90 degrees from stock. The shock body turns, the knobs point where you can reach them, and you can still adjust the car in the pits without pulling anything apart.

They're CNC machined from 6061-T6, clear anodized, and engraved with the SF logo. These are for Strange Engineering double adjustable rear shocks and nothing else. The mount geometry is built around the Strange lower eye, and they are not a general-purpose lower shock bracket for coilovers from another brand. If you're on Strange singles, check with SpeedFactory before ordering. On a front wheel drive car they're a weight and looks upgrade; on an AWD car with rear axles they're the difference between adjustable shocks and shocks you set once and never touch again.

Most people buying these are mid-conversion, so plan the rear end as a set: HCP trailing arms, axles, these brackets, and SpeedFactory's lightweight staging brake kit all go on together and share the same weekend. Torque the lower shock bolt to Strange's spec, not the Honda spec, and check the adjuster knobs through full travel with the car on the ground before you call it done.
