SpeedFactory M14x1.5mm Magnetic Drain Plugs - Honda/Acura Engines and Transmissions
Want to protect your engine and transmission from metal debris? The SpeedFactory magnetic drain plug catches metal shavings and fine metal sludge particles before they circulate through your oil. The rare earth neodymium magnet is strong enough to grab even the smallest metal particles, which prevents them from wearing down your bearings, cam lobes, and transmission gears. These plugs fit most Honda and Acura engines and transmissions with M14x1.5mm drain holes. Sold individually or as a pair (one for engine, one for transmission).
Why You Need a Magnetic Drain Plug
Your engine and transmission create fine metal particles as parts wear against each other. These particles circulate in your oil and wear down bearings, cylinder walls, cam lobes, and gears. A magnetic drain plug catches these particles before they do damage. When you change your oil, you'll see a coating of metal shavings stuck to the magnet. That's metal that would have been grinding through your engine if it wasn't caught by the magnet.
Rare Earth Neodymium Magnet
SpeedFactory uses a super strong rare earth neodymium magnet in these drain plugs. Neodymium magnets are way stronger than regular magnets, so they can grab even the smallest ferrous metal particles floating in your oil. The magnet is zinc coated for corrosion protection so it doesn't rust when it's sitting in oil.
CNC Machined from 6061-T6 Aluminum
Each drain plug is CNC machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum and black anodized for durability and corrosion resistance. The plug has the SpeedFactory SF logo laser etched on it. It's also cross-drilled so you can safety wire it if you're racing and need to make sure the drain plug doesn't back out.
Crush Washer Included
Each drain plug comes with a crush washer. Use a new crush washer every time you change your oil to prevent leaks.
