SpeedFactory Billet Shift Knob V1
A shift knob is the one part of your car you touch on every single drive, which is exactly why the stock rubber knob is usually the first thing to go. The SpeedFactory Billet Shift Knob V1 is a straightforward upgrade for any Honda with an M10x1.5 shifter thread: CNC machined, hard anodized, and priced where you don't have to think too hard about it.
What It Is and Why It Works
The V1 is CNC machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum with a black hard-anodized finish and a laser-etched SpeedFactory Racing logo. Hard anodizing isn't paint; it's a surface conversion that resists scratching from rings, keys, and years of palm contact, and it won't corrode or flake the way coated knobs eventually do. The shape is an ergonomic profile that sits in your palm rather than a tall cue-ball you grip with your fingertips.
At 6.9 ounces, this is a medium weight knob, and that's worth being straight about. It carries noticeably more mass than a stock rubber or plastic knob, enough to help the shifter settle into gear with a more deliberate feel, but it's not one of the 300-plus gram weighted knobs that drag racers use to slam gates. If you specifically want that heavy flywheel-in-your-hand effect, this isn't that knob. If you want a solid metal upgrade that sharpens shift feel without making the lever feel nose-heavy, this is the sweet spot.
Height adjustment is handled by a stainless steel set bolt inside the knob that gives you over half an inch of travel, so you can fine-tune where the knob sits on the lever. Want it even lower? Cut the bolt down. That flexibility matters more than it sounds if you're running a short shifter or an aftermarket boot and need the knob to land in exactly the right spot.

Fitment
The M10x1.5 thread pitch covers most Honda and Acura manual shifters, from EG and EK Civics through Integras, S2000s, and the newer Si chassis, along with most aftermarket Honda shifter boxes. Our own Hybrid Racing shifters use the same M10x1.5 thread, so the V1 threads straight on. Double-check your thread pitch if you're running a non-Honda transmission or an unusual aftermarket shifter, since no adapters are included.
What to Know Before You Buy
One honest note that applies to every aluminum knob ever made: metal follows cabin temperature. It'll be hot after baking in a summer parking lot and cold on a winter morning. That's the trade for the solid feel and durability, and every enthusiast running billet makes it. Installation is as simple as it gets: unscrew the old knob, thread this one on, set your height with the stainless bolt, done in five minutes with zero tools beyond whatever trims the bolt if you want it slammed.
