SpeedFactory LS/VTEC Conversion Kit - Honda/Acura B Series Engines
Building an LS VTEC? This SpeedFactory conversion kit has everything you need to bolt a VTEC head onto your LS or B20 block without hunting down parts from five different vendors. You get the oil sandwich plate, braided oil line, hardened dowel pins, all the fittings, and even the tap for the NPT ports. Add a SpeedFactory MLS head gasket and you're done. No more spreadsheets of part numbers or wondering if everything will actually fit together.
Why This Kit Exists
LS VTEC swaps require specific parts that don't come in your factory engine. You need an oil sandwich plate to tap into your oil supply, a feed line to route oil up to the VTEC solenoid, conversion dowel pins because LS and VTEC heads use different sizes, and a pile of fittings to connect everything. Most people spend weeks sourcing these parts individually and still end up with the wrong fitting or a sandwich plate that chokes oil flow. This kit gives you everything in one box, and the parts actually work together.
Oil Sandwich Plate That Doesn't Choke Flow
The sandwich plate sits between your oil filter and block. It has one -6 ORB port for your VTEC oil feed line and two 1/8 NPT ports for turbo oil feed, oil pressure sensor, or oil temp sensor. SpeedFactory designed this plate to flow 46% more oil than typical sandwich plates, so you're not strangling oil getting to your filter when you tap into the supply. The extra NPT ports mean you can add a turbo feed or sensors later without buying another sandwich plate.
Braided Stainless Oil Line
The kit includes a -6AN braided stainless steel oil line with Teflon lining and black nylon outer sheath. This line runs from your sandwich plate to the VTEC oil passage on the cylinder head. The braided construction handles heat and pressure, the Teflon lining resists oil breakdown, and all the AN fittings you need to hook it up are in the box.
Hardened Chromoly Dowel Pins
LS blocks and VTEC heads use different dowel pin sizes. If you try to bolt a VTEC head onto an LS block with factory dowels, it won't locate properly and your head gasket will fail. This kit includes two hardened chromoly conversion dowel pins that fit the smaller LS block holes and the larger VTEC head holes. These pins are hardened so they won't bend under load, which keeps your head exactly where it should be even when you're making big power.
Comes with All the Fittings
The kit includes every AN fitting you need to connect the oil line to the sandwich plate and cylinder head, plus port plugs for any unused ports on the sandwich plate, and a 1/8 NPT bottoming tap so you can prep the NPT ports. You're not making a second order or digging through your junk drawer for the right fitting.
Add a Head Gasket and Be Done
You can add a SpeedFactory MLS-HP head gasket to this kit in whatever bore size you need. If you're ordering the conversion kit anyway, just add the gasket and you'll have everything to complete the swap. One order, done.
