Seibon OE-Style Carbon Fiber Rear Spoiler - 2014-2015 Honda Civic Coupe
The Si wing is one of the better things about the 9th gen coupe, and this is that shape in real carbon fiber. Seibon reproduces the OE Si spoiler profile so it looks like Honda put it there, except the material catches light in a way painted plastic never will. If you've got an Si, it's a straight upgrade. If you've got a non-Si coupe, it's how you get the Si look without buying an Si.
Si Owners Bolt It On. Non-Si Owners Drill.
This is the thing to understand before you order, because it's permanent.
If you have an Si coupe, your trunk already has the mounting holes for this spoiler. It goes where the factory wing came off and you're done.
If you have a non-Si coupe, EX, EX-L, LX, HF, Hybrid, SE, or Natural Gas, your trunk was never drilled for a wing. You'll need to drill mounting holes to install this. That's completely normal for adding a spoiler to a car that didn't come with one, and plenty of people do it, but go in knowing you're making a permanent change to your trunk lid. Measure carefully, mark twice, and if you're not comfortable drilling into body panels, have a shop do it.
The upside is real though. The Si wing is one of the biggest visual differences between an Si and a base coupe, and this is the least expensive way to close that gap with a part that's better than the original.
Why Carbon Instead Of A Painted Wing
You could find a used Si wing and paint it. Plenty have. What you get here instead is genuine carbon fiber, which does two things a painted wing can't. It weighs less, which matters slightly on a panel hanging off the back of the car and matters more if you're building for track. And it reads as intentional, since carbon at the back of the car signals the whole build was thought about rather than assembled from junkyard parts.
If you've already got carbon elsewhere on the car, a trunk garnish, mirrors, a lip, this ties into it rather than sitting next to it looking almost right.
Real Carbon, Properly Made
Seibon has been laying up carbon for over 15 years and the workmanship shows on a piece like this. The weave runs consistent across the whole spoiler without wandering or breaking pattern, which is harder to hold on a curved part than a flat one. They run a high carbon-to-resin ratio, so it's genuinely stiff and strong rather than mostly resin with a thin skin of weave, and that stiffness matters on a part sitting in airflow at speed.
It's finished with a gloss clear coat built to resist chipping and flaking, and every piece is inspected before it ships.
Keep It Looking New
Treat the finish like paint. Keep it clean and hit it with wax or a ceramic spray a couple of times a year. UV is what dulls and yellows a carbon clear coat over time, and a rear spoiler sits up high catching direct sun all day. A few minutes of upkeep a year and it'll look as good in five years as it does the day you install it.
Fitment
- 2014-2015 Honda Civic Si Coupe - direct bolt-on, uses existing mounting holes
- 2014-2015 Honda Civic Coupe (non-Si) - requires drilling mounting holes
Non-Si coverage includes the EX, EX-L, HF, Hybrid, LX, Natural Gas, and SE. This spoiler is specific to the 2014-2015 coupe and does not fit the 2012-2013 cars, which use different rear bodywork.
Pair It With The Trunk Garnish
Worth knowing if you're doing rear-end work. The Seibon carbon trunk garnish covers the upper trunk panel that sits directly beneath this wing, and installing it requires the wing to come off anyway. If both are on your list, doing them together saves you removing the spoiler twice and gets the whole rear end matching in one afternoon.
Who Should Run This Spoiler
This is for the 9th gen coupe owner who wants the back of the car to say something. Si owner upgrading the factory wing to carbon, or a base coupe owner who's always thought their car should have had the Si wing in the first place. Confirm whether you're drilling, take your time with the install, and enjoy a rear end that looks like it was always meant to be that way.
