RV6 Performance J Pipe - 2009-2014 Acura TL SH-AWD
Want to free up power on your SH-AWD TL? The RV6 J pipe replaces the restrictive factory mid pipe with 2.25 inch primaries that merge into a 3 inch exit. The factory setup chokes flow and leaves power on the table. This J pipe uses extra long runners to help with exhaust scavenging, which gives you better midrange torque instead of just a peak number at redline. It fits both manual and automatic SH-AWD TL models, but it doesn't fit front-wheel drive TLs.
Extra Long Runners for Midrange Gains
RV6 designed this J pipe with extra long 2.25 inch runners that merge gradually into the 3 inch outlet. The longer runner length helps with exhaust scavenging, which means you get better midrange torque where you actually drive instead of just peak power that you hit once per pull. The factory J pipe just dumps both banks together as quickly as possible to save money on manufacturing. It doesn't care about runner length or scavenging.
Full 304 Stainless Construction
The entire J pipe's built from 304 stainless steel and fully TIG welded. The stainless construction means it's not going to rust out like mild steel exhaust components do, and the TIG welding holds up under heat cycles and vibration. RV6 also included a full-size flex pipe to handle thermal expansion without stressing the welds or hangers.
Maximum Ground Clearance
RV6 routed this J pipe to maximize ground clearance so you're not scraping it on driveways or speed bumps at stock ride height. They spent time getting the routing right instead of just bending pipes to fit.
