Radium Engineering Universal Single Catch Can Kit with Fluid Lock

Sick of blow-by coating the inside of your intake, intercooler, and throttle body? This is the can that puts a stop to it. The Radium Engineering universal single catch can pulls the oil and moisture out of your crankcase vapors before they get recirculated back into the engine, so your intake tract stays clean and the air going in stays free of oil mist. And don't let the word "universal" make you think bargain bin, this thing's machined from solid 6061 billet aluminum and built to a level most catch cans don't get anywhere near.

Why You'd Run A Catch Can

Here's the deal with what this fixes. Your crankcase is always producing oily, vapor-filled blow-by, and the PCV system routes that right back into your intake to be burned. The problem is all that oil mist slowly coats everything downstream, your intercooler, throttle body, and intake manifold pick up an oily film that drags down how the car runs. A catch can sits in that line and traps the oil and moisture before it ever gets there, so your inlet air stays clean. On a build you actually care about, it's cheap insurance for keeping the intake side spotless.

Fluid Lock Means A Full Can Won't Bite You

This is the feature that sets it apart, and it solves a real headache with ordinary cans. Forget to drain a normal catch can and let it overfill, and all that collected oil gets pulled right back into your engine, which is the exact thing you bought a can to stop. Radium's Fluid Lock fixes that. When the can fills up, an internal valve closes off and keeps the oil and contaminants from getting sucked back in, while still letting your crankcase vent like normal. So a full can doesn't turn into an engine problem, it just quits collecting until you empty it. Inside, there's a stainless steel baffle plate plus two stainless air/oil separators doing the real separation work, and the filter media is cleanable and reusable, so you're not buying replacements down the road.

Boosted Or Naturally Aspirated, It's Got You

Again, don't let "universal" fool you, this is rated for serious setups. Both halves of the can and every port are O-ring sealed, which means it'll handle the pressure of a forced-induction build, not just a naturally aspirated car. So whether you're running a high-strung NA K-swap, a boosted K20, or a full turbo build, this can handles the crankcase side without sweating it. And the 10AN ORB inlet and outlet ports give you room to plumb it into your PCV and breather routing however your setup needs.

Draining And Checking It Is Quick

Servicing it is painless. The lower half of the body just unscrews so you can dump the collected oil, or if you're tight on space down there, there's a 4AN ORB drain port at the bottom that works with Radium's Petcock Drain Kit so you can drain it without pulling anything off. And the integrated dipstick threads right out, so you can check your oil level in seconds without taking the can apart. No fuss when it's time to empty it.

Note: Radium Engineering universal single catch can kit with Fluid Lock, part number 20-0008-FL. Pulls oil and moisture from crankcase vapors before they recirculate, keeping the intake, intercooler, and throttle body clean. The Fluid Lock valve closes when the can is full to keep collected contaminants from being drawn back into the engine while still venting the crankcase normally. Machined from 6061 billet aluminum (black anodized) with a stainless steel baffle plate and two stainless air/oil separators, plus cleanable, reusable filter media. O-ring sealed throughout, so it's rated for both naturally aspirated and forced-induction builds. Features 10AN ORB (7/8"-14) inlet and outlet ports and a 4AN ORB (7/16"-20) drain port, measures 4.9" tall (without fittings) by 2.45" diameter, and holds 7 fluid ounces. The lower body unscrews to drain, or the 4AN port works with Radium's Petcock Drain Kit, and the integrated dipstick threads out to check level. Includes the catch can and mounting bracket; AN fittings and hose are sold separately, so add the correct 10AN fittings for your plumbing. Depending on your engine's PCV design, some setups run better with a dual-can configuration, so if you're unsure whether a single can covers your application, reach out before ordering and we'll point you the right way. One catch can kit per order.
