PRODUCT DETAILS

Radium Engineering Fuel Pressure Gauge, 0-100 psi, 1/8 NPT or with 8AN ORB Adapter - Part #20-0029 / #20-0075

Every regulator adjustment, every pump swap, and every "why is it leaning out" starts with a fuel pressure number, and a liquid-filled mechanical gauge on the rail or regulator is still the fastest way to get one. Radium's gauge reads 0 to 100 psi with a 1/8 NPT male fitting, and it's sold alone or with an 8AN ORB adapter so it threads straight into the spare port on a Radium rail or regulator.

What It Is and Why It Works

The gauge is a 0-100 psi (0-6.9 bar) unit with plus or minus 2 percent accuracy, a stainless case, an acrylic lens, and a silicone-filled dial that damps the needle so it reads steady instead of buzzing with pump pulses. The fitting is nickel-plated 1/8 NPT male, which is the thread on nearly every gauge port and sensor port in a fuel system. The 20-0075 kit adds Radium's 8AN ORB male to 1/8 NPT female adapter, so the gauge goes directly into the 8AN ORB port on a Radium fuel rail, regulator, or surge tank with no tee in a hose. On a K-series with a Radium rail, that puts the gauge on the rail itself, reading actual rail pressure while you set the regulator.

What to Know Before You Buy

Tape or paste on the NPT thread only, and stop a turn or two past hand tight; NPT wedges and the gauge body is the weak link. On the ORB side, oil the O-ring and don't use sealant. Point the dial where you can read it with the hood up and keep the gauge off the exhaust side of the bay; silicone-filled gauges hold up to heat, but the acrylic lens fogs if it lives next to a header. A mechanical gauge is for setting and checking pressure; if you want fuel pressure in your logs, you need a pressure sensor in the same port, and Radium's 14-0119 adapter is the sensor version of this kit's fitting.
