Radium Engineering 6AN Y-Adapter Fitting, Green - Part #14-0186

Two lines into one, or one into two, in a single machined piece with a 6AN male on all three legs. Radium's 14-0186 is the fitting for a dual-feed fuel rail, a split return, or a surge tank return that has to go two places, and it does it without the stack of tees, unions, and adapters that usually gets built in that spot.

What It Is and Why It Works

The Y is CNC machined from one piece of 6061 aluminum, so the flow path is a smooth split rather than the sharp corner a tee gives you, and there are no joints inside it to leak. All three ends are 6AN male flares, which means hose ends thread straight on with no adapters. It's bright-dipped green to match Radium's fuel hardware and anodized for compatibility with ethanol, methanol, gasoline, coolant, water, oil, and air. The one-piece design is also compact enough to tuck into the tight spot behind a K-series intake manifold where you're splitting a feed between two rails or feeding a rail from both ends.

What to Know Before You Buy

A Y splits flow, it doesn't balance it; if the two legs go to different restrictions, the fuel takes the easier one. Feeding a rail from both ends works because the rail equalizes. Feeding two separate rails from one Y needs the same line length and fitting count on each leg or one rail runs leaner under load. Torque the hose ends to the flare, not beyond; aluminum male flares deform if you crank a steel hose end onto them. And it's a merge with no check valves, so two pumps into a Y need their own check valves upstream.
