Description
Progress Technology 19mm Rear Sway Bar - 2015-2020 Honda Fit (GK)
The Fit has quietly become one of the best budget track and autocross cars out there, and a rear sway bar is the single most effective first handling mod you can make to it. This Progress Technology 19mm rear bar is built for the 2015-2020 Fit, and it goes straight at the car's biggest handling weakness: understeer. From the factory the Fit pushes in corners, running wide when you'd rather it rotate. Adding rear roll stiffness with this bar balances the car out, so it turns in sharper and feels planted instead of plowing.
How It Changes the Car
The bar reduces body roll and keeps the chassis flatter through a corner, which keeps more of the tire's contact patch on the road when you're loaded up. On a front-wheel-drive car like the Fit, stiffening the rear shifts the balance away from understeer, so you get quicker turn-in, more rotation, and more grip to actually use. On the street it wakes the car up; on track or at an autocross it's the change that makes the Fit genuinely fun to drive hard.
Built and Finished Right
It's bent from 19mm alloy steel and finished in a metallic gray powder coat, so it holds up underneath the car and looks clean doing it. It's a non-adjustable, single-rate bar, which keeps it simple: Progress tuned the rate for a strong handling gain that still works as a daily driver, so there's nothing to fuss with once it's on.
Bolt-On Install
It mounts to the factory holes and existing mounting points, so there's no drilling or modifying the car. The kit comes with plated hardware and instructions for a straightforward bolt-on install. It's backed by a one-year limited warranty.
