Deleting the rear wiper is one of those changes that looks better than it has any right to. The wiper arm is a visual interruption across the middle of your rear glass, and once it's gone the back of the car reads considerably cleaner. This PRL kit is how you do it properly, with two CNC-machined aluminum plates that sandwich the glass and seal the hole rather than leaving you with a rubber plug and hope.

Sealed Properly, Not Plugged

This is what separates a real delete kit from the cheap approach.

Pull the wiper and you've got a hole through your rear glass. Plenty of people fill it with a generic rubber grommet, and plenty of those people end up with water finding its way into the hatch. On a car where that water collects around your interior trim and eventually your electronics, that's not a good outcome.

Nobody's buying this for the weight. But if you're already stripping a track car and counting grams, it's a legitimate small gain that comes along with a change you wanted for looks anyway.

Think About Your Use Case

Being straight, since this is a one-way modification in practical terms.

If your Civic is a track car, a show build, or a car you don't drive in weather, deleting the wiper costs you nothing you'll miss. If it's a daily in a rainy or snowy climate, the rear wiper on a hatchback genuinely earns its keep, and you'll notice its absence the first bad morning.
