PRL Motorsports FL5 Wing Risers - 2023-2026 Honda Civic Type R
The FL5's factory wing is good, but it sits where Honda decided it sits and does what Honda decided it does. These PRL wing risers change both. They lift the wing 2 inches higher and move it 3 inches further back, and more importantly they give you 13 angle settings to actually tune what the wing is doing. Machined from 6061 aluminum, powder coated black, and they bolt to your factory mounting points with no cutting or drilling.
13 Angle Settings, And They Matter
This is the part that separates these from a riser that just makes the wing taller.
You get 13 positions running from -5° all the way to +27.5°, in 2.5° increments. That's a genuine tuning range rather than a couple of token holes. Dial in more angle for a tight technical track where you want everything you can get at the rear, back it off for a fast circuit or a highway drive where you'd rather not carry the drag, or set it flat when you just want the look without the aero effect.
Being able to actually adjust it means the wing stops being decoration and starts being something you set up for the day. If you're chasing balance on a track car, having rear downforce as a variable you control is worth real time.
Higher And Further Back
The 2-inch lift and 3-inch rearward shift do two things at once.
Visually it transforms the rear of the car. The wing sits proud of the bodywork instead of tucked against it, and the whole back end reads considerably more serious. It's the single biggest change you can make to how an FL5 looks from behind.
Functionally, getting a wing up out of the turbulent air coming off the roof and body puts it in cleaner airflow, which is where a wing does its best work. Moving it rearward extends the leverage arm too.
And here's the practical bonus: because the wing goes up rather than into your sightline, rear visibility actually improves compared to the factory position. That's rare with an aero upgrade, since most of them cost you something in daily usability.
Built To Live Outside
These are machined from 6061 aluminum and finished in a durable black powder coat, which is what you want on a part mounted to a painted panel and exposed to weather year-round.
New EPDM gaskets come in the box, and that detail matters more than it sounds. They seal the mounting points against water intrusion, which is the thing you worry about any time you're unbolting something from your trunk lid. Fresh gaskets mean you're not relying on twenty-year-old rubber or a bead of silicone.
Factory Mounting, No Drilling
The risers use your factory mounting positions and factory hardware. Nothing gets cut, nothing gets drilled, and nothing about the installation is permanent. Pull the wing, fit the risers, put the wing back on, set your angle.
That reversibility is worth something on a car this new. If you ever sell it or want to return it to stock, the trunk lid is untouched.
Pairs With Outside Line Carbon Wings
PRL developed these in collaboration with Outside Line Motoring, so they're designed to work with Outside Line's carbon fiber wings for the FL5 as well as your factory wing. If a carbon wing is somewhere in your plans, these are already sorted for it.

Who Should Run These
This is for the FL5 owner who wants the rear end to look as serious as the car drives, and who'd rather have an adjustable wing than a fixed one. Track days where you're actually chasing setup, a show build where the stance matters, or a street car you want turning heads from behind. You get the aggressive look, real angle adjustment, and better rear visibility than stock, all bolted to factory points with nothing permanent. Set your angle and go.
