You've probably already done an intake, maybe an exhaust, chasing better breathing on your 1.5T. But here's the spot almost everybody skips: the inlet that feeds air straight into your turbo. The factory one's a choke point, and your turbo's been fighting it this whole time. PRL's carbon fiber turbo inlet pipe opens that path right up so your turbo can finally gulp the air it's been asking for. You get crisper throttle response and better turbo performance everywhere in the RPM range, and the kicker? You don't even need a tune to feel it.

Why You Want This On The Inlet Side

Let me explain why this one matters, because it's easy to overlook. Your inlet is the pipe that feeds air into the turbo before it ever gets squeezed, and the stock piece is narrow and restrictive. So every time you get on it, your turbo's working harder than it should just to pull air through that little factory inlet, and it doesn't spool as clean as it could. Open that up and the turbo gets fed properly, so it wakes up quicker and runs more efficiently. And here's what we like about how PRL did it: they built this to make your factory turbo breathe better, not to make you replace anything. It's all about getting more out of the turbo you've already got.

Carbon And Cast, And Why That Combo's Smart

This is where PRL really nailed the design. They paired a thin-wall carbon fiber crossover tube with a cast aluminum inlet transition, and that combo pulls double duty. The shape moves a lot more air without killing off the velocity it needs, so you're flowing more volume but the air's still hauling, and they tuned it specifically for Honda's little 1.5L instead of some one-size-fits-all pipe. The carbon's doing more than just looking trick under your hood, too. Unlike metal or that factory plastic, carbon fiber doesn't soak up your engine bay heat and dump it into your intake air, so it actually helps keep your charge cooler. On the numbers, the cast aluminum inlet matches your OEM gasket at 50mm ID and opens smoothly out to 76.2mm OD (74mm ID) carbon tubing, and the inlet outlet jumps from the stock 38mm up to 45mm. PRL made it a multi-piece design on purpose, too, so it tucks in and bolts up a whole lot easier.

No Tune, No Headaches

Here's the part you'll love: there's no ECU calibration required. None. This is a real bolt-on that won't throw off your MAF readings, so you get the better breathing and the sharper response without dropping money on a tune or chasing down weird sensor codes afterward. You bolt it on, you drive, you feel it. Simple as that.

Heads Up: You Need A PRL Intake First

Read this one before you check out, because it's the thing that trips people up. This inlet pipe only works with the PRL Cobra Cold Air Intake or the PRL Short Ram Intake. It will not fit your OEM airbox, full stop. So if you're still running the stock intake, this won't bolt up, you've got to be running one of those PRL intakes for it to work. Make sure you've already got a PRL Cobra CAI or Short Ram, or grab one alongside this, and you're golden.
