PRODUCT DETAILS

Pracworks Carbon Fiber Intake Manifold - FK2/FK8/FL5 Type R / DE5 Type S

Want way more mid-range power from your K20C1 Type R or Integra Type S? The Pracworks carbon fiber intake manifold replaces your factory intake manifold with long runner design and a 2.665L plenum. Pracworks dyno'd this manifold at 25-30 hp in the mid-range and 10-15 hp at peak on a stock FK8. You're getting a 10% power increase from 3500 RPM onwards without tuning. The manifold's plug-and-play. It bolts to your stock throttle body and it uses your factory throttle body location. If you're looking for the biggest mid-range power gain you can get without going built motor or big turbo, this is it.

Here's Why This Manifold Makes More Power

Your factory K20C1 intake manifold's got short runners and a small plenum. Short runners make good top-end power but they kill mid-range torque. The Pracworks manifold's got long runners that use resonance tuning to make way more mid-range power. The runners are tuned to create pressure waves that help fill the cylinders at mid-range RPM. You're getting a fat torque curve from 3500 RPM to redline instead of the factory manifold's weak mid-range. The 2.665L plenum's also bigger than the factory plenum, so it flows more air at high RPM.

Carbon Fiber Doesn't Heat-Soak Like Aluminum

The manifold's made from prepreg carbon fiber with billet 6061-T6 aluminum flanges. Carbon fiber's 40 times less thermally conductive than aluminum. That means it doesn't absorb heat from your engine like an aluminum manifold does. Your intake air temps stay lower because the manifold's not heat-soaking and heating up your charge air. Lower intake temps mean more power and less chance of knock.

Plug-and-Play Installation

The manifold's plug-and-play. It bolts to your stock throttle body using the factory throttle body bolt pattern. All your factory vacuum fittings are in the same locations as the stock manifold. You're unbolting your factory manifold, bolting the Pracworks manifold on, connecting your vacuum lines and sensors, and you're done. Installation takes about 4 hours. You don't need a tune to run this manifold on a stock car, but if you're running other mods or boost, you'll want to get tuned to take full advantage of the extra airflow.

Safe for Up to 70 PSI Boost

The manifold's rated for up to 70 PSI boost. If you're running a stock turbo or a mild turbo upgrade, the manifold'll handle it. If you're running a big turbo setup with crazy boost levels, the manifold's strong enough to take it. The carbon fiber construction and aluminum flanges are way stronger than you'll ever need for a street or track car.
