Moroso H-Series Baffled Oil Pan - 92-01 Honda Prelude (Aluminum Drag / Steel Road Race)

This is a fully fabricated, baffled Moroso oil pan for the H-series Prelude, built to keep oil over the pickup when a stock pan can't. The factory pan has little in the way of baffling, so under hard launches or sustained cornering the oil sloshes away from the pickup and you lose pressure right when the engine needs it most. Moroso solves that with internal baffling and trap doors that keep oil where it belongs. This page offers two versions, an aluminum pan for drag racing and a steel pan for road racing, so you can match the pan to how you actually run the car.

Choose Your Pan: Drag or Road Race

The two versions are built for different jobs, so pick based on your use:

• Aluminum (Drag Race): fully fabricated aluminum with an integrated anti-slosh baffle and a large trap door. It's the lighter of the two and set up for straight-line launches, where that big trap door keeps oil at the pickup as weight shifts rearward under hard acceleration. It's 5-3/8" deep.
• Steel (Road Race): fabricated steel with an integrated anti-slosh tray and trap doors, finished in black powder coat by Moroso. The tray-and-multiple-trap-door setup is built for the sustained lateral loads of road course driving, where oil gets thrown side to side corner after corner. Steel also takes the abuse and the occasional curb better than aluminum. It's 5-1/4" deep and uses your stock oil pump and pickup.

Shared Features

Both pans are wet sump with a 5.5-quart capacity, and both include the provisions you need for a built or boosted setup:

• 1/2" NPT turbo drain-back provision
• 1/2" NPT temperature sender provision
• Integrated baffling and trap doors for oil control under load

The aluminum drag pan also includes a hardware kit with hex-drive studs and serrated-face flange nuts.
