Mishimoto Performance Air Intake - 2018-2022 Honda Accord (1.5T & 2.0T)
The 10th-gen Accord dropped the V6 for turbo engines, and Honda tuned both of them quiet, the intake was built for a hushed daily driver, not to let the turbo breathe or be heard. This Mishimoto intake fixes both: it clears the factory restriction for more airflow and a genuinely aggressive tone, no tune required, and it's CARB-legal. There are two versions, one for the 1.5T and one for the 2.0T, so pick the one that matches your engine.
Pick Your Engine: 1.5T Or 2.0T
These are two different intakes for two different engines. Match yours before ordering, the wrong one won't fit.
1.5T (MMAI-ACRD15-18) is for the turbocharged 1.5L (L15) Accord, the common engine in these cars. It makes up to 7.8 hp and 7.2 lb-ft and cuts intake restriction by over 46%.
2.0T (MMAI-ACRD20-18) is for the 2.0L (K20C4) Accord, which is the detuned version of the Civic Type R's engine. It makes stronger gains, up to 15.6 whp and 12.9 wtq, with 50% more flow, since the bigger turbo engine responds more to better airflow.
Go by your engine, not the model year, since both were offered across these years. If you've got the 2.0T, you get the bigger gains and a carbon-topped airbox; if you've got the 1.5T, you get a strong, sensible bump and a sealed airbox with an oversized cold-air duct.
Straight Talk On The Gains
Honest about what each delivers, since the two engines are different.
The 2.0T's 15.6 whp and 12.9 wtq are real, meaningful gains, the K20C4 is airflow-sensitive like its Type R sibling, so clearing the restriction does genuine work you'll feel. The 1.5T's 7.8 hp and 7.2 lb-ft are more modest, as you'd expect from an intake on a smaller turbo engine, but still a real bump, and on both engines a big part of what you're buying is the response and the sound.
Both hold safe air-fuel ratios on the stock tune, no remap needed, because the MAF housing on each is engineered to keep the fuel trims where the ECU expects them. That's the hard part of an intake done right, and it's why neither throws a check engine light.
The Sealed Airbox Does The Real Work
What separates these from a cone filter, on both engines.
Each uses a rotational-molded airbox that encloses the filter and keeps hot engine-bay air away from it, so the turbo gets cooler, denser air. An open filter sitting in the bay heat-soaks and loses power the harder you drive; a sealed box holds up.
The 1.5T version adds an oversized fresh-air duct that pulls even more cool outside air from between the grille and hood. The 2.0T version tops its airbox with a carbon fiber lid, which both looks sharp and is part of a clean engine-bay upgrade. Both feed a Mishimoto high-flow oiled filter positioned to get maximum airflow from the front of the car.
Engineered MAF Housing
The part that keeps each tune-free and trouble-free.
Both intakes use a CNC-machined aluminum MAF housing precision-adjusted to increase flow while preserving the airflow characteristics the MAF sensor needs. Paired with a silicone coupler, it lets the intake flow more while the ECU still reads correctly and holds safe fuel trims, which is what allows the no-tune, CEL-free operation on the stock calibration.
CARB-Legal, Easy Install
Both versions are CARB compliant (EO# D-759-28), so they're 50-state legal and will pass a visual emissions inspection, which a lot of intakes won't, making this a safe choice in California and other emissions-checked states.
Installation is a direct fit in under an hour with basic hand tools, no cutting, no tune. Pull the stock airbox, fit the Mishimoto one, done.
About The Filter
Both use a Mishimoto high-flow oiled filter, which flows well and is washable and reusable. Standard oiled-filter upkeep applies: clean and re-oil it every 10,000 to 15,000 miles under normal driving, more often in dusty conditions. The re-oil service isn't covered under warranty, though the intake itself is, for life.

Who Should Grab This
This is for the 10th-gen Accord owner who wants their turbo sedan to breathe, respond, and sound better, done right so it stays emissions-legal and doesn't throw codes. Real gains (strong on the 2.0T, solid on the 1.5T), a sealed airbox that doesn't heat-soak, an aggressive tone, and a quick no-tune install. Pick the version for your engine, and give the Accord the attitude Honda left out.
Fits: 2018-2022 Honda Accord 1.5T (L15, MMAI-ACRD15-18) and 2.0T (K20C4, MMAI-ACRD20-18). Gains: 1.5T up to 7.8 hp / 7.2 lb-ft (46%+ less restriction); 2.0T up to 15.6 whp / 12.9 wtq (50% more flow). Both: safe A/F on stock tune, no remap. MAF housing: CNC aluminum, CEL-free. Airbox: sealed rotational-molded (1.5T oversized cold-air duct; 2.0T carbon fiber lid). Filter: high-flow oiled, washable, service every 10-15k miles. Emissions: CARB legal, EO# D-759-28. Install: direct fit, no tune, under an hour. Warranty: Mishimoto lifetime.
