Mishimoto Liquid Chill Synthetic Engine Coolant - 50/50 Premix, 1 Gallon

Coolant isn't glamorous, but it's doing real work, carrying heat out of your engine, preventing corrosion inside the cooling system, and keeping things from boiling or freezing. This is Mishimoto's Liquid Chill synthetic coolant, premixed 50/50 and ready to pour straight in. It protects against boilover to 265°F and freezing to -26°F, resists corrosion, and uses a nontoxic propylene glycol base. It's the right coolant to pair with a fresh radiator, or just to refresh what's in the system now.

Premixed, Ready To Pour

Worth knowing, because it saves a step and prevents a common mistake.

This comes premixed 50/50 with deionized water, so you pour it straight into the system, no measuring, no mixing, and no risk of using tap water. That last part matters: a lot of people top off or fill with tap water, which has minerals that build up and corrode the cooling system over time. This is already mixed with deionized (mineral-free) water, so you get the correct ratio and clean water every time.

For a radiator install or a coolant flush, premixed is simply easier, open the jug, fill the system, done.

What It Actually Does

Coolant has a few jobs beyond not freezing, and this handles all of them.

It protects against boilover to 265°F and freezing to -26°F, year-round protection for hot summers and cold winters alike. And here's a useful detail: that boil protection climbs 40-50°F with a 15 psi (roughly 1 bar) radiator cap, since higher system pressure raises the boiling point. Every Mishimoto aluminum radiator includes a 1.3 bar high-pressure cap, so running this coolant with one of those gives you even more boilover margin, which matters on a track car.

It also inhibits corrosion inside the cooling system (protecting the radiator, pump, and passages), helps drop operating temperatures and reduce engine wear, and can seal small pinhole leaks as part of its formulation.

Nontoxic Synthetic Base

The chemistry is worth understanding, both for safety and for compatibility.

This is a synthetic coolant on a propylene glycol base, which is inherently nontoxic, unlike the ethylene glycol in most conventional coolants, which is poisonous to pets and wildlife. That's a genuine safety benefit if you've got animals around the garage or spill some during a fill.

The synthetic formula with POAT additives also gives it a long service life, exceeding 2 years or 250,000 miles in gasoline applications, though it's always worth checking your service manual for your specific car's interval. It meets or exceeds stock specifications and passes the ASTM D6210 and D3306 coolant standards.

Don't Mix Coolant Types

Important, so you fill the system with the right thing.

This is a propylene glycol (synthetic) coolant, and it should not be mixed with ethylene glycol coolant (the conventional, color-matched OEM type most cars ship with). The two chemistries aren't compatible, so if your system currently has conventional coolant and you want to switch to this synthetic, flush the system first rather than topping off over the old stuff.

If you'd rather stay with an OEM-spec ethylene glycol coolant, Mishimoto makes those too in color-matched formulas (the blue version matches Honda/Acura Type 2), which we may carry separately. For the full breakdown of coolant types and which is which, Mishimoto's coolant guide lays it out clearly. This page is the synthetic 50/50 premix.

Works In Any Cooling System

It's formulated for all radiator types (aluminum, including the Mishimoto radiators, plus copper/brass and plastic) and safe for all gas and diesel water-cooled engines, as long as you're not mixing it with a different coolant chemistry. Made in the USA.
