Mishimoto Performance Front Mount Intercooler - 2022-2026 Civic Si & Integra 1.5T
The 1.5T Si and Integra make good power cold, but drive them hard and intake temps climb fast, which drops power and makes the ECU pull timing to protect the engine. That's heat soak, and it's what separates a car that holds power lap after lap from one that fades. This Mishimoto intercooler fixes it with a bar-and-plate core 146% larger than stock that keeps intake temps an average of 18.1°F cooler. Available as the intercooler alone or as a full kit with high-flow piping, in a choice of finishes.
Intercooler Only Or Full Kit?
Two ways to buy, and the modular design lets you start where you want and add later.
Intercooler only is the core upgrade. It's fully compatible with your stock piping, so you get the big cooling gain, 18.1°F lower intake temps, and up to 7.2 hp and 8.6 lb-ft, without touching the pipes. It's the sensible starting point, and you can add the piping later. Available in silver or black.
Full kit adds Mishimoto's high-flow aluminum piping to the intercooler, which bumps the gains to up to 8.1 hp and 8.1 lb-ft and further reduces pressure drop across the whole charge path. The piping comes in red or black, pair it with your intercooler finish choice. This is the complete setup for the best results.
Either way you're getting the same intercooler; the kit just adds the pipes. Start with the intercooler and upgrade at your pace, or do it all at once.
Bigger Isn't Automatically Better, And Here's The Proof
This is worth knowing, because it's why these gains are real.
Mishimoto's first prototype used an even larger core than the production version, maximizing size for cooling. But on the dyno it backfired: the oversized core produced minimal power gains and actually lost low-end torque versus stock, because the excessive internal volume created lag in boost response. The extra cooling wasn't worth the hit to how the car drove.
So they redesigned it, reducing the core length and thickness and minimizing the end tank volume to balance cooling against airflow. That second version is what you're buying, and it's why it delivers measurable power and torque gains where a just-make-it-bigger approach wouldn't. It's sized to cool hard without killing boost response, which is the hard part of intercooler design and the reason to buy an engineered one rather than the biggest core that fits.
146% More Core, 18.1°F Cooler
The cooling numbers, and what they actually do for you.
The bar-and-plate core is 146% larger in volume than stock, giving far more surface area to pull heat out of the charge air. In Mishimoto's heat-soak testing, back-to-back dyno runs simulating hard driving, it kept average outlet temps 18.1°F cooler than the stock intercooler.
That matters because the ECU pulls timing and boost when intake temps climb, to protect the engine. Keeping temps lower delays that protective pullback, so you hold peak power across repeated runs instead of fading, exactly what you want on a track day or a hard canyon run where the stock cooler gives up. It supports builds up to 572 horsepower, so it's got headroom well beyond stock as your build grows.
Built Stronger Than Stock
The construction is a real upgrade over the factory unit.
The factory intercooler uses a tube-and-fin core with plastic end tanks crimped on, adequate for stock but a weak point under higher boost. This one is bar-and-plate with fully welded cast aluminum end tanks and a brazed core, far stronger structurally, which eliminates the risk of boost leaks under higher pressure and handles the thermal cycling of hard use. It's the durability a built car needs as boost climbs.
The Piping (Full Kit)
What the high-flow piping adds, for the kit buyers.
The aluminum piping replaces the restrictive factory pipes, increasing flow area 103% on the hot side and 75% on the cold side, which minimizes pressure loss across the charge path. It connects with wire-reinforced 5-layer DuraCore silicone couplers built for extreme heat and boost, and the hot-side pipe eliminates the OEM resonator for a sharper, more aggressive induction sound under boost. The cold-side pipe has a pre-drilled 1/8" NPT sensor port for a boost gauge or sensor as your build evolves.
Plug-And-Play, No Cutting
Installation is designed to be straightforward.
Both the intercooler and the full kit are plug-and-play with no cutting or modification, and include custom ducting that replaces the stock ducting so the intercooler keeps getting optimal airflow. CNC-machined adapters ensure it mates correctly to the piping (factory or Mishimoto), with color-coded anodized finishes to simplify the install and clean up the engine bay. OEM-style mounting keeps everything aligned and secure, and it's all reversible to stock if you ever need.

Who Should Grab This
This is for the 1.5T Si or Integra owner who drives hard, tracks the car, or is building it up, and who's felt the power fade as intake temps climb. A bar-and-plate core 146% bigger than stock, 18.1°F cooler intake temps that hold power run after run, support for up to 572hp, and an honestly engineered design that cools without killing boost response. Start with the intercooler on stock piping, or go full kit with the high-flow pipes. Either way, stop losing power to heat soak.
