Why A Shroud Matters, Not Just Fans

Worth understanding, because the shroud is doing as much work as the fans.

A fan without a shroud only pulls air through the part of the radiator directly in front of it, the rest of the core gets little airflow, and air spills around the fan's edges rather than through the radiator. That's inefficient, and it's why a bare fan cools worse than it should.

A shroud seals the fan to the radiator so all the fan's airflow is forced through the entire core, every square inch of it. That's what maximizes cooling from a given fan, and it's the difference between adequate cooling and cooling that holds up on a track day or in stop-and-go traffic on a hot day. Heads Up: Overflow Tank Clearance

Important install note, so you're not caught out.

On some applications, the factory coolant overflow tank doesn't fit alongside this shroud without modification, the shroud and fans take up space the stock tank occupied. If that's the case on your car, you'll need to relocate the tank, and Mishimoto's universal reservoir tank is a clean solution for that.

Worth checking your specific application before install so you can plan for the tank relocation if it's needed.
