Lifeline Zero 360 Fire Marshal 2.25kg FK 5-1-12 Fire Suppression System (FIA)
Running an FIA-sanctioned series means you need a homologated fire suppression system to race, and the Zero 360 is Lifeline's clean-agent answer to it. This is the mechanical Fire Marshal version: a FIA-homologated FK 5-1-12 clean agent system, significantly smaller and lighter than the foam systems it competes with, activated by a pull cable with no electronics involved. The clean agent discharges in any orientation and knocks a fire down fast while leaving no residue, and the Fire Marshal pricing makes it the accessible way into the Zero 360 range. For a competitor who wants a compact, lightweight, clean-agent system that passes FIA tech, this is it.
Clean Agent, Not Foam
The Zero 360 uses FK 5-1-12 liquid clean agent (which replaces Novec 1230), and that's a meaningful difference from a foam system. Clean agent extinguishes fire without leaving the mess and residue a water-based foam does, so after a discharge (or an accidental one) you're not dealing with foam coating your engine bay and cockpit. It also discharges effectively in any orientation, which matters in a crash where the car may not be upright, the system works regardless of how the car ends up.
The clean agent has excellent fire knockdown and fire-out capability, pulling heat and interrupting the fire fast, which is the whole job in a racing fire: knock it down quickly enough to get the driver out safely.
FIA Homologated, Smaller And Lighter
The system carries FIA homologation number EX.028.08, awarded after passing the FIA tests for plumbed-in fire systems, conducted by the British Standards Institute and observed by the MSA. That homologation is what makes it legal for FIA-sanctioned competition.
Because it's a clean-agent system, it's significantly smaller and lighter than current FIA-certified foam systems, which is a real packaging advantage in a modern competition car where space is tight and every pound counts. The 2.25kg bottle measures 268mm (10.5") long x 125mm (5") diameter, compact enough to fit where a larger foam bottle might not.
On capacity: the 2.25kg system is the typically accepted equivalent of a 5lb system, but confirm this with your specific series before committing, since requirements vary by series.
Mechanical Activation
This is the Fire Marshal (mechanical) version, triggered by a pull cable rather than electrically. The kit includes both a 2m and a 4m pull cable, so you can run a driver pull and a marshal/external pull. Mechanical activation means no electronics, no battery dependency, and nothing electrical to fail, it works by a direct mechanical pull, which is the simple, reliable approach many competitors prefer, and it's part of what keeps the Fire Marshal competitively priced within the Zero 360 range.
Two-Year Service Cycle
Like any competition fire system, this requires periodic servicing to stay homologated and functional, and the Zero 360 runs a two-year service cycle. Budget for that as part of owning the system, a fire system that's out of service date isn't competition-legal and may not perform, so staying on the service schedule is part of running it. It's used by world-championship-winning constructors, so the performance pedigree is there when it's maintained properly.

This is for the competitor running an FIA-sanctioned series who wants a compact, lightweight clean-agent fire system that passes FIA tech, without the mess, bulk, or orientation limits of a foam system, and at the accessible Fire Marshal price point. FIA homologated (EX.028.08), FK 5-1-12 clean agent that discharges in any orientation and leaves no residue, mechanical pull-cable activation with both driver and external pulls, and the packaging advantage of a smaller, lighter bottle. Confirm the 2.25kg capacity meets your series' requirement, check the homologation is valid for your racing period, keep it on its two-year service cycle, and install it properly.
