Confirm This Is The Right Class Of System
The most important thing on this page, because buying the wrong class of fire system is a serious real-world safety and eligibility mistake, not just an inconvenient return.
This system carries MSA acceptance and is recommended specifically for open cockpit cars, small prototypes, Legends, Bandoleros, and similar classes. It does not conform to any FIA or SFI homologation.
If your series mandates an FIA-homologated or SFI-rated system, this will not meet that requirement, and you will fail tech or run under-protected. You'll need one of our homologated systems instead, the Zero 360 for FIA Technical List 16, or the Zero 275 for FIA 8865-2015. When in doubt, check your rulebook or ask your series before ordering. It is always better to confirm than to assume.
Do Not Use On Alcohol Fuels
A critical safety limitation, restated because the consequences of getting it wrong are severe.
This system is not rated for any alcohol fuel types. If you run methanol, ethanol, or any alcohol-based fuel, this system is not suitable for your car, because the suppressant is not rated to handle alcohol fires.
An alcohol fire that a non-rated system can't control is exactly the emergency fire equipment exists to stop. This is a hard safety limit, not a preference or a recommendation. If you're on alcohol fuel, you need a system specifically rated for it, no exceptions. Confirm your fuel type against this before buying.
Mechanical Pull-Cable Operation
How this system works, and where it sits relative to electric systems.
This is a mechanical system, triggered by pulling a cable rather than pushing an electric button. It comes with two 6ft pull cables, so you can position a pull handle within the driver's reach and a second one accessible externally for a marshal or crew member.
Mechanical actuation is simpler and requires no power source to trigger, which is part of what keeps this an accessible, dependable system for entry-level classes. Pull the cable and the system discharges.
A Complete Installation Kit

The complete kit (LYF-101-225-011) includes the bottle and all the plumbing, cables, nozzles, and hardware for a full installation. This is what you want for a first-time install.
The bottle only (101-225-011-B) is the cylinder on its own, for anyone who already has the plumbing installed and needs to replace or service just the bottle. If your system is in place and you need a fresh cylinder, this saves buying hardware you already have.
