Description
King pMaxKote Performance Rod Bearings - K-Series (K20/K24)
Dial in your K-series build with a set of rod bearings made to take abuse. The King pMaxKote performance rod bearings are a top-tier choice for engine bearings thanks to their tri-metal construction with the hardened pMaxKote overlay coating. That coating increases load capacity and resistance to fatigue, which directly improves the reliability of your K-series when it's making power and seeing sustained RPM. Whether the car lives on the street, the strip, or the circuit, these are built to hold up.
What pMaxKote Does
The pMaxKote overlay is the difference-maker. On top of the tri-metal structure, this hardened coating raises the bearing's load capacity and fatigue resistance compared to OEM or budget bearings, so it stands up to the heat cycles and cylinder pressures a modified K-series puts out. More load capacity and better fatigue resistance mean a bearing that survives the conditions that chew up lesser parts, which is exactly what you want on a build you're planning to lean on.
Built For High-Output, Steel-Crank Builds
King recommends these bearings for use with steel crankshafts and high-output applications such as circuit and dirt-track cars. The combination of higher load capacity, improved fatigue resistance, and consistent sizing makes them an easy call for a serious build, and the consistent tolerances mean less time fighting clearances at assembly.
Available Sizes
Offered in four sizes so you can match your journals and dial in clearance:
- STD (OE spec)
- STDX (0.005" thinner)
- +0.026mm
- +0.5mm
Measure your rod journal diameter and check it against King's oil clearance spec before ordering, and consult your machine shop if your journals have been machined or you're unsure which size to run.
Fitment
Compatible with the K20A2, K20Z1, K20Z3, K24A1, K24A2, K24A4, K24A6, and K24A8 engines. Recommended for steel crankshafts only, so confirm your crank before ordering.
If you're building a K-series that's going to see real load, these are the rod bearings to put in it: tri-metal construction with a pMaxKote overlay for higher load capacity and fatigue resistance, in four sizes to match your build. Measure your journals, pick the right size, and confirm your clearances before assembly.
