Innovative Mounts RSX Automatic Motor Mount Kit 02-06
Read this first: this kit fits the 2002-2006 RSX with an automatic transmission only. If your RSX is a manual, including every Type-S ever built, Innovative makes a separate kit under part number 90650 and this one will not work on your car. Automatic RSX owners, you're in the right place. This is the full replacement set: driver, passenger, and rear mounts in powder coated steel.
What It Is and Why It Works
Twenty-plus years in, the factory mounts on a DC5 are done. Honda filled them with damping fluid to keep the K20 quiet, and once those chambers split, the engine starts moving under load in ways it shouldn't. You feel it as a clunk on throttle transitions, wheel hop off the line, and a shifter that seems to move more than the gears do.
Innovative's approach is to delete the fluid entirely and run polyurethane bushings instead. That's the actual mechanism, and it's worth being clear about what it buys and what it costs. Holding the engine still cuts wheel hop and sharpens throttle response, because power goes into the wheels rather than into rocking the motor on its mounts. The cost is noise and vibration: without fluid damping, more of what the engine does reaches the chassis. Every durometer here transmits more NVH than the factory mounts did, and the harder you go up the scale, the more you'll feel it. That's the trade, and it's a good one on a car you're driving hard.
The brackets are steel with a black powder coat, and the kit is a direct replacement, no notching or trimming of the hood required.
Choosing Your Durometer
| Durometer | Power Range | SKU |
| 75A | 250 to 400 horsepower | INO-90651-75A |
| 85A | 400 to 500 horsepower | INO-90651-85A |
| 95A | 500+ horsepower | INO-90651-95A |
Those ranges come from Innovative, and the honest way to read them is as a ceiling, not a target. Pick the durometer that matches what your car actually makes, not what you hope it makes next year. A stock or lightly modified automatic RSX is nowhere near 250 horsepower, so 75A is the right call for the overwhelming majority of these cars, and stepping up to 95A on a street car buys you vibration you didn't need. If the car is boosted and genuinely making the numbers, then move up.

The RSX Type-S came exclusively with a six-speed manual, so no Type-S takes this kit. Manual RSX and 02-05 Civic Si owners want Innovative's manual kit, part 90650, instead.
What to Know Before You Buy
Confirm your transmission before you order. This matters more than usual here, because Innovative does not accept returns or exchanges on mounts once they've been bolted down and show bolt impressions. A trial fit isn't a thing on this part. Check the car, then order.
Innovative recommends a shop or mechanic handle the install, and that's fair advice on a DC5. The engine has to be supported while all three mounts come out, and getting the new ones in without preloading the drivetrain takes a jack, a plan, and ideally two people. If you're doing it yourself, torque everything with the engine sitting at its natural ride height rather than hanging on a jack, or you'll build a permanent bind into the mounts.
Do the whole set at once. Mixing new stiff mounts with a tired factory mount just moves the problem to the one you didn't replace, and the old one will fail faster now that it's absorbing what the new ones won't.
