Innovative Mounts Rear Motor Mount | 02-06 RSX, EP3 Si
Wheel hop on a K-series is the rear mount's fault. The factory fluid-filled mount in your 02-06 RSX or 02-05 EP3 Civic Si lets the K20 rock backward under load, and once it's torn (they all tear eventually) the problem gets worse every launch. The Innovative Mounts Rear Motor Mount (90630) is the single most effective mount on these chassis: solid steel where the stock part is rubber and fluid, with polyurethane bushings you pick by power level.
What It Is and Why It Works
Innovative removes the OEM mount's fluid damping entirely. That fluid is there for comfort, and it's also why the stock mount lets the engine move enough to unload the front tires in a hard launch. A solid steel mount with poly bushings keeps the K20 or K24 planted, which means the power goes to the ground instead of into engine rock. You feel it immediately: cleaner shifts under load, sharper throttle response, and wheel hop mostly gone from just this one mount. This is the same 90630 mount Innovative includes in their full 90650 replacement kit, and it works with both manual and automatic cars, RSX Type-S included.
Innovative rates each bushing durometer by horsepower. The 75A black bushing covers 250-400hp and is the pick for street cars and daily drivers. The 85A grey covers 400-500hp for serious boosted builds. The 95A red is for 500hp and up, race cars only. The no-tear bushing design and powder coated steel body carry Innovative's lifetime warranty.

Fitment
| Year | Make | Model | Trim | Engine |
| 2002-2006 | Acura | RSX | Base and Type-S | K20A3 / K20A2 / K20Z1 |
| 2002-2005 | Honda | Civic | Si (EP3) | K20A3 |
Fits the DC5 and EP3 chassis with K-series engines, manual or automatic. Innovative also lists the EP3 Civic Type R for buyers running the JDM or European CTR. If you've K-swapped an older chassis, this is not your part; Innovative makes swap-specific kits for the EG, EK, and DC2.
What to Know Before You Buy
Be honest about the vibration trade. A stiffer rear mount transfers more of the engine's buzz into the cabin than any other mount position, especially at idle with the AC on. It calms down noticeably after the bushings break in over the first few weeks, and most 75A owners stop noticing it. The 85A and 95A never fully disappear; if the car is a daily, buy the 75A and don't overthink it. Buy the stiffness your power level calls for, not the one that sounds toughest, because the 95A on a 220whp street car is all vibration and no benefit.
Two things before you bolt it in. First, Innovative does not accept returns once the mount has been bolted down and shows bolt impressions, so confirm fitment while it's still in the box. Second, if your stock rear mount is torn, check the front mount too; they usually go together, and the 90650 kit covers the full set for less than buying mounts one at a time. Innovative also makes this same mount in billet aluminum (B90630) if you want less weight on a race build.
