PRODUCT DETAILS
Innovative Mounts Cable to Hydro Actuator H-Series - Part #41003
This is the clutch actuator for putting an H-series engine with an H or F-series hydraulic transmission into a cable type chassis. It is the part that makes the clutch work after the conversion, and it is sold separately from the mounts.
What It Is and Why It Works
The actuator handles clutch release when a hydraulic transmission goes into a car that was built around a cable setup. This one mounts in front of the release fork. Clutch release geometry is where cable to hydraulic conversions go wrong: a poorly angled actuator binds the fork and destroys a clutch that has nothing wrong with it.
One part, no options. What decides this purchase is the engine family, since Innovative builds separate actuators for H-series, D-series and B-series applications.

Engine family decides which actuator you need. This is the H-series version. Innovative builds a D-series actuator as part 41002, and B-series actuators as 41000 and 41001.
What to Know Before You Buy
Match the actuator to the engine, not the car. The three versions look similar and the part numbers run consecutively, which is exactly how the wrong one ends up in a box.
Do not reuse a worn actuator to save money on a conversion. This is the component that decides whether the clutch releases cleanly, and a binding fork is an expensive problem to diagnose after the transmission is back in.
Some Innovative conversion kits include the actuator already. If you are buying a full mount kit for the same job, check whether it covers this before ordering separately. Parts cannot be returned once they have been installed.
