Innovative Mounts J-Series Front Torque Mount for 97-01 Prelude - 80140
A J-series Prelude is one of the better sounding builds nobody expects, and the front torque mount is what keeps a V6 with that much mass from tipping forward on every launch. This is the front mount for a J-swapped 97-01 Prelude BB, brackets and hardware included, sold on its own for anyone replacing one or finishing a swap piece by piece.
What It Is and Why It Works
The J30 or J32 sits differently in the BB bay than the H22 it replaced, and the factory front mount location does not line up. This mount and its brackets put the V6 where the crossmember and axles expect it, then use a tapered polyurethane bushing to stop the engine from rotating under load. It works with the 03-07 Accord and 04-08 TL six speed transmissions, which is what most J-swapped Preludes run.
75A is the street durometer for a J-swap. 85A if the car is tracked or built. 95A is drag and race territory, and with a V6 sitting in a chassis that was never sold with one, the extra harshness shows up quickly.

This mount only works as part of the J-series setup. You need one of Innovative's crossmembers, 50110 or 50111, and the J-series conversion kit 80152 for it to bolt up. It is not a replacement for a factory Prelude front mount.
What to Know Before You Buy
Do not buy this expecting a stock Prelude part. It is a swap specific mount and without the crossmember and the 80152 kit it has nothing to bolt to. If your H22 car needs a front torque mount, that is the 29740 part.
Plan the crossmember first. The 50111 Type SH crossmember and the 50110 competition bar are the pieces that decide how the rest of the swap lays out, and buying the mounts before the crossmember is how people end up with parts that do not talk to each other.
Match durometer across the swap. A 95A front mount with 75A everywhere else concentrates load in one place and makes the car feel worse. If the rest of your 80152 kit is 75A, buy 75A here. Mounts cannot be returned once bolted down.
