The sub brackets are what tie a K-series mount kit to an EK chassis, and they are the pieces most likely to be missing or wrong on a used swap. This is the bracket set out of Innovative's K-series conversion setup for the 96-00 Civic EK or EJ with a manual transmission, sold on its own.

What It Is and Why It Works

Black finish brackets that use OEM hardware, with the same no-tear bushings as the rest of the Innovative line. A K-swap only sits correctly if the brackets locate the mounts where the kit intends, and swaps that changed hands a few times often have brackets that were modified, drilled or borrowed from another kit. Starting with the right brackets is what makes the mount kit behave the way it was designed to.

Inspect what is on the car before ordering. Cracked brackets, elongated bolt holes and previous owner modifications are common on EK K-swaps that have been apart a few times, and a fresh set of mounts bolted to compromised brackets will not hold position.

Match this to the rest of your setup. These brackets belong with the 90050 and B90050 mount families, so if your swap uses a different kit the brackets may not line up. Parts cannot be returned once they have been bolted in, so confirm what you are running first.
