Innovative Mounts CVT to Manual Mount Kit for 96-00 Civic HX - 10052
The Civic HX is the odd one in the 96-00 lineup: EJ7 or EN1 chassis, D16 VTEC-E, and a CVT that nobody wants to keep. Swapping it to a hydraulic manual transmission is the standard fix, and the factory mounts do not line up once you do. This kit covers the mount side of that conversion so you are not making brackets.
What It Is and Why It Works
It is a four position mount kit cut and formed for the HX chassis specifically, with tapered polyurethane bushings instead of the fluid filled rubber the CVT car came with. It positions the manual transmission where the axles and shift linkage expect it, which is the part people underestimate on a CVT conversion. No notching, no trimming the hood, and it reuses stock hardware.
Durometer is the only functional choice. An HX with a D16 is a light, low torque car, so 60A or 75A is the honest pick for anything street driven. 85A and 95A exist for track and drag builds, usually ones that have moved past a D-series by then.

What to Know Before You Buy
Confirm you are running a hydraulic manual transmission, not a cable one. The 96-00 Civic era straddles both, and the mount geometry follows the transmission, not the year on the title. If you picked up a cable box from an earlier car, this is the wrong kit.
Do the conversion in one pass. You already need the pedal assembly, master and slave cylinders, the shift linkage and an ECU that will run without the CVT logic, so adding fresh mounts now costs you nothing in labor. Doing them later means pulling the axle side of the car apart twice.
Stay at 60A or 75A. An HX is a commuter chassis and a stiff bushing will make it feel cheap rather than fast. Mounts cannot be returned once they have been bolted down, so double check the chassis code before you start.
