Innovative Mounts 94-97 Accord DX/LX Manual Mount Kit
Thirty year old rubber does not hold an engine still. If your five speed CD5 or CD7 Accord shudders through the 1-2 shift, hops the inside wheel out of a corner, or clunks every time you lift, the factory mounts are finished. The Innovative Mounts 94-97 Accord DX/LX manual mount kit (part number 29754) is the direct replacement set for a DX or LX running the stock F22B2 with a five speed behind it.
What It Is and Why It Works
Honda built the 94-97 Accord mounts as thin stamped steel shells with rubber bonded in, and two of them carry damping fluid. That is why they are quiet when new and useless at 200,000 miles. The rubber tears, the fluid weeps out, and the engine starts moving on its own schedule. Innovative Mounts builds this kit around welded steel brackets with solid polyurethane bushings. There is no fluid chamber left to fail and no torn rubber to let the motor rock, so torque goes into the axles instead of into engine movement. That is where the reduced wheel hop and the sharper throttle response actually come from.
Be honest with yourself about the trade before you order. A polyurethane mount is stiffer than the factory fluid mount, and a stiffer mount transmits more engine noise and vibration into the chassis, not less. Anyone telling you performance mounts smooth out an old Accord is selling you something. What you get instead is a drivetrain that stays where you put it.
Durometer is how you control the trade. Innovative rates these 75A (black), 85A (grey) and 95A (red), and ties each to a power band: 75A for roughly 250 to 400 hp, 85A for 400 to 500 hp, 95A for 500 hp and up. On a naturally aspirated F22B2 Accord that still gets driven to work, take the 75A and do not think twice. The 85A belongs in a car that sees track days or boost. The 95A is close to a solid mount and it will buzz the entire cabin at idle. Do not order 95A because it is the biggest number on the page.

Fitment
| Year | Make | Model | Trim | Engine |
| 1994 to 1997 | Honda | Accord | DX (manual) | F22B2 |
| 1994 to 1997 | Honda | Accord | LX (manual) | F22B2 |

Chassis codes are CD5, CD7 and CE1. Manual transmission only. Part number 29754 covers the DX and LX chassis with the factory F-Series engine still in it. Part number 29751 is a different job entirely: it mounts an H22A or F22A into an EX chassis with a manual.
What to Know Before You Buy
Here is the one that catches people. The engine mount in the 29754 kit needs the F-Series timing belt post mount from a 95-98 Odyssey or 94-02 Accord, Honda part number 11910-P0A-010. If your F22 does not already wear that bracket, source one before the engine is hanging on a leveler. The 29751 conversion kit needs the other post mount, the H-Series unit from a 92-01 Prelude, Honda part number 11910-P13-000.
Get the trim right, because Innovative builds separate DX/LX and EX kits for a reason. The factory mount hardware is not the same across trims. A manual EX uses a tall four hole rear mount, a DX and LX use a short three hole rear mount that sits flat on the subframe, and most automatics use a tall three bolt rear mount with a vacuum solenoid attached. Get under the car and count holes before you order. If you have an EX with a five speed and the stock F-Series, part number 29757 is your kit. If you have an automatic, part number 29756 is your kit.
This is a three mount kit: engine, transmission and rear. The front torque mount is a separate part number and it is not in the box. If yours is soft, budget for it now rather than chasing a clunk later. Everything else bolts up with factory hardware, and nothing on the hood needs trimming.
Mounts cannot be returned once they have been bolted down, because the bolt impressions give it away. Test fit and confirm your trim and transmission before you torque anything. Innovative states a lifetime warranty on these.
If you are swapping an H series into a DX or LX rather than an EX, this is not your page. Look at the 94-97 Accord H22 and F20B swap mount kits. And if you are still fighting wheel hop on a high torque F22B2 or H22A Accord after the mounts are in, the Innovative Mounts traction bar for the 94-97 Accord and Odyssey is the next thing to bolt on.
