Innovative Mounts 92-01 Prelude Front Torque Mount H-Series - Part #29640
The front torque mount is the one that takes the hit every time you get on the throttle in a Prelude, and it is usually the first mount to go on a BA or BB chassis. If your car rocks forward and comes back with a clunk, or the whole drivetrain shifts when you pull away from a stop, this is the part that has given up.
What It Is and Why It Works
Replacement front mount with a tapered polyurethane bushing, using the factory hardware. The stock unit is fluid filled and once it splits there is nothing controlling fore and aft movement of an H22, which is why the axles bind and the shifter feels disconnected under load. This mount positions the engine where Honda put it, so there is no axle bind, and the poly bushing stops the rocking without relocating anything.
75A covers most street driven H-series Preludes. 85A if the car is tracked or the motor is built. 95A is a drag and race part. This is one position of four, so buy the durometer that matches the rest of the mounts in the car.

This mount does not clear the Innovative 92-01 Prelude competition bar. If you are running that traction bar, you need the 29740 front torque mount instead, which also covers the 94-97 Accord and 95-98 Odyssey.
What to Know Before You Buy
Check whether you have a competition bar before you order. This is the single most important thing on this page: the 29640 and the traction bar will not coexist, and the 29740 is the mount that does. Plenty of people find that out with the old mount already on the bench.
Replace the driver mount at the same time if the car has never had mounts. On a BB Prelude the front and driver positions fail together, and the 20150 kit covers everything if more than one is worn out.
Stay at 75A on a street car. The Prelude is quieter than a Civic and masks vibration better, but a 95A front mount will still buzz at cruise. Mounts cannot be returned once they have been bolted down.
