Innovative Mounts 90-93 Accord Auto Motor Mount Kit
Every CB7 Accord still on the road is running on thirty-year-old engine mounts, and the factory fluid-filled units don't age gracefully. They collapse, leak, and let the F22 lurch through every shift the automatic makes. This Innovative Mounts kit replaces them with steel mounts and fresh polyurethane bushings, built specifically for the 90-93 Accord with an F-series engine and automatic transmission.
What It Is and Why It Works
These are steel replacement mounts with Innovative's No-Tear polyurethane bushings, made as a direct bolt-in for the CB7 and CB9 chassis using your stock hardware. The design choice that defines them: the factory automatic Accord came with vacuum-assist fluid-damped mounts, and Innovative deletes that fluid damping entirely. Solid urethane instead of an aging fluid cartridge means the engine stays planted under load, torque gets to the ground instead of into mount deflection, and there's nothing left to leak or collapse ever again.
Be clear-eyed about the trade, because it's real. Fluid-damped mounts exist to make a commuter sedan feel like a commuter sedan, and firm urethane transmits more vibration into the cabin than healthy stock mounts do, most noticeably at idle in gear, which is exactly where an automatic spends its time at every red light. Innovative says the same thing on their own product page. What you get back is control: crisper throttle response, less driveline slop through shifts, and reduced wheel hop if you're putting power down. If your goal is a factory-quiet Accord, OEM fluid mounts are the right part. If your mounts are dead anyway or the car is headed toward performance duty, this kit is the buy-once fix.
Three bushing durometers cover the range. The 75A is the softest offered here and the right pick for a daily-driven CB7, rated by Innovative for builds in the 250 to 400 horsepower range, which means it has margin far beyond any street F22. The 85A firms things up for track and race duty, and the 95A is the extreme-duty option where maximum engine control matters more than comfort. Every step up the scale buys stability and costs cabin refinement, so on an automatic street car, softer is the smarter default.

This kit is specifically for the automatic transmission chassis with the factory F-series engine. Running a manual, converting auto to manual, or swapping in an H22 or K series? Innovative builds separate kits for each of those, and grabbing this one for a conversion will leave you with mounts that don't line up. If you're not certain which kit your build needs, ask us before ordering.
What to Know Before You Buy
Two things prevent headaches. First, the kit requires the 90-93 Accord F-series timing belt post mount, Honda part number 90008-PM3-000, which is not included. If yours is missing or crusty, order it with the kit so the install doesn't stall halfway. Second, confirm fitment before anything gets bolted down: Innovative does not accept returns or exchanges once a mount has been torqued and shows bolt impressions. Test-fit, verify, then commit. Innovative also recommends professional installation, and on a thirty-year-old unibody where every fastener has opinions, that's not bad advice even for a capable wrench.
