Automatic RSXs are the cheap way into a DC5, and converting one to a six speed is a well trodden path. The mounts are where the job either lines up or fights you, because the automatic and manual K-series transmissions do not sit the same way in the chassis. This kit covers the mount side of that conversion.

What It Is and Why It Works

Four position kit with tapered polyurethane bushings and a powder coat finish, replacing the OEM rubber mounts. It locates a K20 with a manual gearbox in the right place so the axles run at the correct angle and the shifter cables reach without strain. That last part is what separates a converted car that feels factory from one that always feels like a project.

75A is the durometer for a street driven RSX, and that covers most conversions. 85A for track use or a built K20. 95A is drag and race, and the DC5 is quiet enough that people notice the difference immediately.

This is the auto to manual conversion kit. A car that already has a manual uses the 90650 or B90650 kits, and an automatic staying automatic uses 90651.

What to Know Before You Buy

Mounts are the easy part of this conversion. You still need the pedal assembly, master and slave cylinders, the shifter and cables, a manual axle setup and an ECU that will run without the automatic logic. Order mounts when the rest of the parts are lined up, not before.

Get the transmission question settled first. A Type-S six speed and a base five speed both go in, but they are different boxes with different gearing and different clutch parts, and buying mounts does not resolve that decision.

Stay at 75A for a street car. The DC5 has more sound deadening than the older chassis, but a 95A mount still puts noticeable buzz through the shifter at cruise. Mounts cannot be returned once they have been bolted down.
