PRODUCT DETAILS

Innovative Mounts D-Series Front Engine Mount for 01-05 Civic - 10540

The front mount on a seventh gen Civic controls how far the engine tips forward when you get off the throttle, and it is the one that makes the car feel loose when it is worn. On a manual EM2 or ES with a D17 it usually goes about the same time as the rear.

What It Is and Why It Works

Tapered polyurethane bushing replacing the factory fluid filled mount, in the stock location. When the OEM unit loses its fluid there is nothing controlling fore and aft movement, so the drivetrain rocks and the shifter picks up slop that no amount of linkage work fixes. Poly stops the motion without moving anything out of position.

60A is closest to stock and the right call for a daily. 75A on a car that gets driven hard. 85A and 95A are track and race durometers.

This mount does not work with the Honda Civic Si EP3. The rear mount is 10530, the driver side is 10510, and the full kit is 10550.

What to Know Before You Buy

This one is manual only, unlike the rear mount which covers both transmissions. If your car is an automatic, check with us before ordering.

Buy the 10550 kit if more than one position is worn. On a car with 150k or more miles they are all the same age, and the kit costs less than three separate mounts.

60A or 75A for a street car. The seventh gen is a commuter chassis and the stiff bushings add noise without adding anything you would notice on the road. Mounts cannot be returned once they have been bolted down.
