Hybrid Racing B-Series AWD Shifter Cables (97-01 CR-V Transmission)
Hybrid Racing shifter cables are a performance upgrade over stock OEM cables. The solid rod ends, permanently lubricated core, spherical bearings, and aluminum end links give the cables a firmer, tighter feel than OEM, which means fewer missed shifts and a more connected feel to the chassis. They're heat resistant up to 225°F with a max bend radius of 5" for the best cable life. These are built specifically for the B-Series All-Wheel-Drive transmission out of the 97-01 CR-V, which is a setup with its own cable needs that off-the-shelf cables don't cover.
What Makes Them Better Than OEM
The job of these cables is to take the flex out of the shift linkage. Along with the permanently lubricated core and spherical bearings, they run stainless steel push rods and stainless steel swivel support tubes in place of the factory plastic ones, which are a known failure point on the OEM cables. The rod ends and mounting bushings are CNC machined from 6061 aluminum, then black anodized before being laser etched with the Hybrid Racing logo. Every plastic piece that flexes or breaks on the stock cables has been replaced with metal, so the crisp shift you get on install day stays crisp.
This Is Not a Direct OEM Replacement - Read Before Ordering
These cables are not a plug-in replacement for your factory CR-V cables. They were created for customers running a B-Series AWD transmission together with the Hybrid Racing TSX shifter, and they'll also work with the OEM Honda/Acura TSX shifter. In other words, this is a cable set for a specific shifter-and-transmission combination, not a stock refresh. Make sure your setup matches before you buy.
You must use an OEM Honda B-Series AWD transmission cable bracket with these cables. They will not work with aftermarket or modified cable brackets, so don't plan on running them with anything but the factory bracket.
