Hybrid Racing Shifter Cables - 97-01 Prelude & 98-02 Accord
Hybrid Racing shifter cables are a performance upgrade over the stock OEM cables on the Prelude and Accord. The solid rod ends, permanently lubricated core, spherical bearings, and aluminum end links give the cables a firmer, tighter feel than OEM, which means fewer missed shifts and a more connected feel to the chassis. They're heat resistant up to 225°F with a max bend radius of 5" for the best cable life.
What Makes Them Better Than OEM
The job of these cables is to take the flex out of the shift linkage. Along with the permanently lubricated core and spherical bearings, they run stainless steel push rods and stainless steel swivel support tubes in place of the factory plastic ones, which are a known failure point on the OEM cables. The rod ends and mounting bushings are CNC machined from 6061 aluminum, then black anodized before being laser etched with the Hybrid Racing logo. Every plastic piece that flexes or breaks on the stock cables has been replaced with metal, so the crisp shift you get on install day stays crisp.
Direct Replacement, and Honda Stopped Making Them
These are designed and tested to replace the factory Honda Prelude and Accord cables. That matters more than usual here, because Honda has discontinued most of these cables. If your originals are worn out and you've been coming up empty looking for OEM replacements, these are a better option anyway, since you get a firmer shift out of the deal instead of just getting back to stock.

- 1998-2002 Honda Accord (F23)
These may also work on the European Accord SiR and Accord Type R. Our Short Shifter for the 97-01 Prelude / 98-02 Accord (HYB-SAS-01-60) is compatible with those models, so the cables are very likely a fit as well, though we haven't officially verified them on those chassis.
