Hybrid Racing K-Swap Power Steering Kit - EG/EK Civic, Del Sol & DC Integra

Power steering is the part of a K-swap people put off, usually by deleting it and telling themselves they'll sort it later. Then they park the car three times and remember why Honda fitted it. This kit connects your K-series power steering pump to a two-port rack, with everything you need in one box and no fabrication in the middle.

Read This First: You Need A Two-Port Rack

This is the requirement that determines whether the kit works, so sort it before anything else.

The kit connects to a two-port power steering rack, and those came on the 1994-2001 Acura Integra. If you're building a DC, you may already have one. If you're swapping an EG, EK, or Del Sol, you'll be sourcing an Integra rack as part of the project.

That's not unusual for a K-swap, since these builds tend to borrow across chassis anyway, but it's worth knowing up front rather than discovering it with the lines in your hands. Plan the rack first.

You'll also need a power steering pump from a K20A, K20A2, K20A3, or K20Z1, which is what came on the 02-06 RSX and 02-05 Civic Si. If your donor engine arrived without a pump, add that to the list.

Everything In One Box

The reason this kit exists is that piecing power steering together on a swap means sourcing fittings, hoses, and adapters that were never designed to work together. Here's what's included:

  • Low profile pump fitting for hood clearance
  • Custom high-pressure line
  • Low-pressure return hoses
  • Threaded adapter for the high-pressure line
  • Hose clamps
  • Power steering fluid cooler
  • Power steering fluid reservoir
  • Mounting bracket

Connect the supplied lines to your rack and pump, bolt on the brackets for the reservoir and cooler, and you're done. No cutting, no custom fabrication in the middle of the system.

The Low Profile Pump Fitting

Worth calling out because it solves a real problem. Hood clearance on a K-swapped EG or EK is tight, and a standard pump fitting is one of the things that ends up in the way.

The low profile fitting in this kit is designed around that. It's the kind of detail that only comes from building these cars, and it means one less thing you're working around when you close the hood.

Why The Cooler Is Included

Power steering fluid gets hot, and hot fluid breaks down, which takes your pump and rack seals with it eventually. In a swapped car with an engine bay hotter and more cramped than Honda designed for, that's more of a concern than it is stock.

Including the cooler rather than selling it separately means the system is set up properly from the start instead of being something you add after the fluid has already cooked once.

One Thing To Plan For

Being straight about the one variable. Depending on your specific swap setup, you may need a custom bracket to mount the cooler. Engine bays differ once you start swapping, and there's no single mounting location that works across every build.

It's a small piece of fabrication rather than a system-level problem, but plan for it rather than discovering it with everything else already installed.

LHD Or RHD

The kit comes in left hand drive and right hand drive versions, so select the one matching your car. The routing differs enough that they aren't interchangeable.

Fitment

1992-2000 Honda Civic
1993-1997 Honda Del Sol
1994-2001 Acura Integra

Requires a two-port power steering rack (1994-2001 Integra) and a K20A, K20A2, K20A3, or K20Z1 power steering pump.

Who Should Run This Kit

This is for the K-swap builder who wants power steering working properly rather than deleted or improvised. If the car sees street use, parking lots, or anything other than a track, you want it. It's one kit, it's designed around the swap rather than adapted to it, and it takes the guesswork out of the one system most people leave until last. Source your rack, check your pump, and get it plumbed.

Fits: 1992-2000 Honda Civic, 1993-1997 Honda Del Sol, 1994-2001 Acura Integra. Requires: two-port power steering rack from a 1994-2001 Integra, and a K20A / K20A2 / K20A3 / K20Z1 power steering pump. Includes: low profile pump fitting, high-pressure line, low-pressure return hoses, threaded adapter, hose clamps, fluid cooler, fluid reservoir, and mounting bracket. Options: LHD or RHD. Note: a custom bracket may be needed to mount the cooler depending on your setup.
