How to Use Touch-Up Paint
You're not repainting your whole car with this. You're filling in chips and scratches so they don't rust. Use the prep tip to clean loose paint and surface rust out of the chip. Apply the paint with the pen or brush. Let it dry. Apply the clear coat over the paint to seal it. The paint's lacquer-based, so it dries fast and you don't need to mix anything or use activators. Note: Verify your paint code before you order. Your paint code's on a sticker in your driver's door jamb. Look for NH700M. If your sticker says NH700M, this is the correct touch-up paint. Alabaster Silver Metallic and Silver Moon Metallic are the same color with the same paint code. Touch-up paint's not going to match perfectly. It'll be close, but it won't be invisible. Metallic paint's hard to match with touch-up paint because the metallic flakes settle differently when you're brushing it on versus when it's sprayed. The touch-up will blend better from a few feet away than up close. Clean and prep the chip properly before you apply paint. If you don't clean the chip, the paint won't stick.
